Why Hezbollah supports the Libyan "rebels"

Hezbollah supports the Libya “rebels.”

How can this be?

It is natural to assume that Hezbollah is wise to all the tricks used by the West and its Jewish masters. It is natural to assume that Hezbollah, having experienced combat and endured Jewish bombs, would not believe Judeo-Western propaganda. It is natural to assume Hezbollah has information we don’t have, and that if they support the Libyan “rebels,” then it is for complex political reasons.

I submit that all such assumptions are incorrect. For reasons I will explain below, Hezbollah has quite simply been taken in by Judeo-Western propaganda.

This is not as oversimplified as it may seem. Time and again I have seen Russia and Iran taken in by the Judeo-Western media’s incessant use of terms like “dictator” and “terrorist.” I have seen “anti-war” bloggers so seduced by media tricks that they agree that Gaddafi was a “savage dictator” that deserved to be lynched, even if countless Libyan civilians were killed along with him. These same “anti war” bloggers also agree that the West would be right to make war on Syria’s Assad, or the Lord’s Resistance Army in Africa, or the Harakat al-Shabaab resistance in Somalia, or the Tamil Tigers in Sri Lanka, or many other resistance groups vilified by the Judeo-Western media.

Hezbollah fell for the same media mechanism.

To understand why, let’s go back to February, shortly before NATO began its bombardment. In those days the world was thrilled by the “Arab Spring” protests. Tunisia and then Egypt had purged their Western puppets (only to end up later with new masters in the form of bureaucrats and military juntas). Gaddafi seemed just another Arab dictator who had ruled for too long, and the Arab world was finally starting to rid itself of its Western-allied oppressors. Hooray!

On 25 Feb 2011, ten days after the NATO-backed “rebels” started their terrorism, Hassan Nasrallah released a statement on Hezbollah’s Al Manar TV channel saying, “Anyone with honor and consciousness in this world cannot, and should not, keep silent on the massacres the Gaddafi regime is committing across the country on a daily basis, namely in Benghazi. Hezbollah expresses support to the revolutionists in Libya, and we pray that they will triumph over this arrogant tyrant.”

BOOM – right there Nasrallah fell for Western lies that Gaddafi had perpetrated a genocide on peaceful and innocent protesters in Benghazi. Again we see the power of media repetition and fabrication.

On 19 March 2011 the West began to carpet bomb Libyan civilians, while the propaganda machine went into overdrive with increasingly absurd claims, e.g. Gaddafi issued Viagra to his troops so they could commit mass rape, Gaddafi had brought in countless mercenaries from Africa, Gaddafi was personally torturing victims, and so on.

Nasrallah continued to believe all this filth. Twenty-four hours after the bombs started blowing Libyan children to pieces, he personally appeared on Al-Manar to praise the “revolutionaries and protesters in Tunisia, Egypt, Bahrain, Libya, and Yemen for their faith and high spirituality.”

Notice how he stupidly believed the notion that all these countries are the same, which they are not. With Egypt, for example, the West supported Mubarak until his tyranny was not longer viable, and then withdrew that support. With Libya, the West wanted to kill Gaddafi from the start. With Bahrain, the West supports the savage monarchy. With Yemen, a US-puppet dictator allowed Western oil companies to extract Yemen’s oil.

For Nasrallah, all these countries were part of the “Arab Spring,” which you and I know was Western-engineered. The masses were ready to explode, so the West triggered an uprising that could be managed, before the masses got out of control and literally overthrew Western domination. That is why the West gave so much media coverage to the uprisings, just as the US media gives so much coverage to the “Occupy Wall Street” clowns. Media coverage allows the plutocracy to manage and manipulate protests and uprisings.

Nasrallah could not grasp this. He specifically rejected claims that the uprisings were US-manufactured, saying such talk is an injustice to these peoples, and unreasonable because their regimes are US allies.

A month into the NATO onslaught, Gaddafi had heard of Nasrallah’s words against him, and suggested that Hezbollah members had entered Libya to help the rebels. Libyan Deputy Foreign Minister Khaled Kaim suggested that elements of Hezbollah were fighting alongside the “rebels” in Misrata.

On 12 April 2011 Nasrallah denied this.

After that, Nasrallah commented little until late August when he believed the Judeo-Western media’s premature claims that the war was over, and Libya had fallen.  On 22 Aug 2011, Iranian-backed Press TV reported that Nasrallah praised the Libyan people and its “revolutionary fighters” for their “huge victory over the dictatorial regime of tyrant Muammar Gaddafi.” Nasrallah said the “fall of the regime” had materialized “after a long struggle and great sacrifice.”

This was a full two months before Gaddafi was lynched. By this point NATO had been continually bombing Libya’s civilians for five months, and still Nasrallah believed NATO’s lies, even though nobody in the West continued to believed them except the usual crowd of morons.

To understand the resilience of Nasrallah’s stupidity, we must address yet another area where he was taken in by media lies. This concerns the disappearance of Imam Moussa Sadr on 31 Aug 1978, which the USA engineered and blamed on Gaddafi.

Imam Moussa Sadr was a Shiite cleric in Lebanon before Hezbollah even existed. In 1978 there was a mass uprising in Iran (which eventually led to the revolution of 1979).

Imam Moussa Sadr was not a radical, but in the Iranian uprising he saw a chance for Shiites in Lebanon to perhaps rise up from their status as third-class citizens and claim some dignity. In those days, Shiites in Lebanon were segregated, and were not allowed to have any jobs higher that dishwashers, or taxi drivers, or (if they could read) hotel clerks.

Imam Moussa Sadr advocated reconciliation between Shiites, Sunnis, Christians, and Druze. He also had intimate contacts with leaders of the uprising in Iran. Meanwhile the Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini was preparing to leave France and return to Iran.

All this alarmed the USA, which became frightened that Imam Moussa Sadr could cause the Ayatollah’s revolutionary influence to spread to Lebanon, right next door to America’s Israeli masters.

In Libya, Gaddafi supported the Iranian revolution, and invited Imam Moussa Sadr to come visit him from Lebanon. The USA took advantage of this to “disappear” Sadr and blame it on Gaddafi, killing two birds with one stone.

The Judeo-Western media claimed that Gaddafi had ordered Sadr to be assassinated, along with two of his aids. To make this lie seem legitimate, the USA also had Interpol issue an international arrest warrant on Gaddafi.

Why would Gaddafi do this? The Judeo-Western media gave no motive, but some commentators who believed the lie suggested that Gaddafi did it to please Yasser Arafat. (The Shias and the Palestinians at that time were involved in armed clashes in Southern Lebanon.). Others speculated the “madman” Gaddafi had personally beaten Sadr to death in Gaddafi’s tent for daring to disagree with Gaddafi on matters of theology. (!!!)

Gaddafi himself denied the accusation, and asked why he would wish any harm on a prospective ally against Western imperialism. He said he had met with Moussa Sadr, had a very cordial and productive meeting with him, and bid him farewell as Sadr took a plane to Italy.

As previously noted, Hezbollah did not exist at this time, and Nasrallah would not become its leader until 14 years later, when the Jews assassinated the group’s previous leader, Abbas al-Musawi.

In February 1982, Hamza akl Hamieh hijacked Kuwait Airways flight KU561 at the Beirut airport and demanded the release of Imam Musa al Sadr. Israeli operatives in Lebanon told him to take it up with Gaddafi. Four months later, Israel invaded Lebanon (6 June 1982) to exterminate Palestinians there, and the civil war took off.

In late 2006 Gaddafi and the West kissed and made up. This angered Nabih Berri, who was Lebanon’s Parliament Speaker, in addition to being the head the mostly Shi'a Amal Movement (separate from Hezbollah), which considers Moussa Sadr to be its founder.

Berri denounced Gaddafi’s reconciliation with the West by again accusing Gaddafi of having assassinated Musa Sadr.

Over time the lie became so ingrained in the Lebanese Shiite mind that Sadr was elevated to a martyr, a “vanished imam.” Shiites came to hate Gaddafi for having “killed” him, and even Iran was seduced by the Western lie.

Today Hezbollah has congratulated the Libyan terrorists for lynching Gaddafi, and is asking for their help to “free Musa Sadr” from prison, or find his body.

There is no geopolitical reason whatsoever for Hezbollah to ally with the NATO-backed terrorists in Libya, who are Sunni fundamentalists that despise Shiites. Nasrallah had repeatedly urged the “rebels” during their “uprising” to not accept any outside help, as this would open the door for Western domination.

Hezbollah itself remains a “terrorist organization” on three continents, plus Egypt. Now that Gaddafi has been murdered, Hezbollah has absolutely nothing to gain by allying with the Libyan “rebels” – except to hopefully obtain information about Musa Sadr.

Think about it:  why would Nasrallah agree with the West's attack on Gaddafi, but not with the West's attack on Syria's Assad? The West wanted Gaddafi dead, and now wants Assad and Nasrallah dead.

CONCLUSION: there is no need to read anything complex into this.

Hezbollah simply became stupid, and was taken in by Western lies, as were so many others.

Iran helped US to topple Taliban and helped US in Iraq to topple Saddam and they just did same thing in Libya to topple Qaddafi
