Justice and Defence Minister Alan Shatter has refused to rule out Ireland buying more Israeli weapons – despite continuing controversy over its policy towards Gaza.
Ireland has spent over €14m on Israeli weapons in recent years despite UN claims that it committed war crimes during its previous invasion of Gaza, and the use of Irish passports by Israeli secret service as cover in murder and political assasination.

A complaint about broadcaster Vincent Browne referring to Israel as the “cancer of foreign affairs” on his late night TV3 show was upheld by the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland’s complaints committee.
During the programme, Mr Browne said Israel “polarises the Islamic community of the world against the rest of the world" and also said that with the creation of Israel “stole the land from the Arabs”.

Ce Vendredi 14 octobre 2011, le tribunal de Grande Instance de Paris a décidé de répondre à la demande du gouvernement en proclamant l'interdiction du site Copwatchnord-idf.org. La police s'est senti victimisée ; et l'état tremblotant a suivi comme toujours la droite lignée donnée par ses fervents représentants sur le terrain et leurs syndicats. Cela a toujours été le cas historiquement, tant en terme de mesures sécuritaires contre une frange de la population ou lors de critiques ouvertes à l'encontre des forces de l'ordre. Cela ne nous étonne pas.

It’s impossible to defend Grande Dame of White House journalists Helen Thomas’ recent off the cuff statement that Israeli Jews should go back to Germany…..or Poland. (She said Israel should get out of Palestine, but it wasn’t clear if she meant the Occupied Territories, which Israelis should get out of, or Israel behind the green line.) It was deeply offensive and wrong.
