U.K. Foreign Secretary Jack Straw said . . . "It is prudent to assume that Iran is seeking to develop a nuclear weapons capability so that they have the choice of whether to activate it."I guess Jack missed that episode of Benny Hill. "Never ASSUME because it makes an ASS out of U and ME."

Well, what he (Straw) obviously means is such assumption in this case is "PRUDENT," as he says. It means then it's neat and convenient (and expedient) for him, the US, and Israel to blast Iran as it would be such fun to do so, no one among those top-dogs having to worry about anything as in way of retaliation. I guess Straw figures (as do all the "Western" oligarchs) Russia, China, and India would look on without doing anything.
So Straw figures there's little to lose in assassinating Iran. So Straw is honest at least--not to mention most grimly ruthless as this is exactly the kind of political frontman the topmost bankers want, what kind of speeches are to be made.
And u, qrswave, utterly fail to appreciate this version of male, upfront, macho and realpolitik--what's wrong w. u? Is it possible to please such a person as u? Picky, picky, picky.
I'm not picky at all.
An honest person, who's neither greedy nor selfish, could easily win my affection.
