Kidnapped Syrian TV host 'executed'

Syrian television presenter Mohammed al-Saeed, kidnapped from his Damascus home in mid-July, has been executed, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said on Saturday.

"The television presenter, a well-known figure on state TV, has been executed, and the Al-Nusra Front has claimed responsibility for the killing," the Observatory's Rami Abdel Rahman told AFP.

Al-Nusra, a little-known Islamist militant group, claimed the kidnapping and execution of Saeed in a statement on Friday.

Where’s the body? Where’s the proof? How do we know this isn’t a lie by the terrorists, designed to instill fear in everyone who works for the Syrian media?

Press TV accepts this story as true, with no evidence. Press TV is clumsy. Press TV is so keen to portray the terrorists as terrorists that Press TV editors are easily manipulated. 

Regarding “Al-Nusra," the U.S. government says it is a branch of Al Qaeda.

Cute, huh? The USA arms and supports all terrorists in Syria as “freedom fighters,” including Al Qaeda, but also says that Al Qaeda is a “global threat.”

The contradiction is absurdly Orwellian, but no matter. The masses have no problem with it. The “evil dictator” meme trumps all.

The Iranian government has stopped sponsoring all tourist trips to Syria, because of the danger, but this tour group was private. Actually the terrorists have kidnapped dozens of Iranians in Syria, in addition to this latest attack. Some Iranians are murdered, but most are ransomed.

Half of the terrorists are mere bandits who exploit the civil war. They do not engage government troops. They just steal whatever they find, and hold hostages for ransom.  To the corporate media, they are all “freedom fighters.” It was the same in Libya.

It’s amazing that 48 Iranians (who probably do not speak Arabic) got onto a Syrian bus and went to visit a Shiite shrine in the middle of this madness, but I suppose they felt that “Allah would protect us.” The terrorists say the same thing. All Muslims shout “Allah hu Akbar” as they kill each other. It temps me to think, “If Muslims are that stupid, then they deserve to be enslaved” – but then, Muslims are no more stupid than any other group.
