A commander of foreign-sponsored Syrian insurgents has been killed by members of his own armed group, who turned against him in the southwestern city of Dara'a.
Rabea Swaidan was fatally shot in the city, located about 114 kilometers (70 miles) south of Damascus, on Saturday by his own gunmen after they got into a bitter dispute with him over the distribution of stolen property and the money they received from abroad to fund their insurgency and other illegal activities, the SANA news agency reported.
It is said that Swaidan personally supervised the looting of houses and cars, armed robberies, abductions, and the extortion of local residents in Dara’a.
Syria has been experiencing unrest since March 2011.
Damascus says outlaws, saboteurs, and armed terrorists are the driving factor behind the unrest and deadly violence while the opposition accuses the security forces of being behind the killings.
The Syrian government says that the chaos is being orchestrated from outside the country and accuses Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Turkey of arming the opposition.

Re: Syrian insurgent commander killed by his own men in Dara'a
Translation: the "insurgents" consist of two main factions. One is foreign mercenaries hired by NATO. The other are domestic bandits and gangsters who are expanding and exploiting the chaos and violence to steal all they can. Sometimes the thieves fight over the stolen loot.
The corporate media calls both groups (bandits and mercenaries) "freedom fighters," or the "Free Syrian Army."
On a different note, the above story is more proof that religion is irrelevant. The Syrian "Islamists" merely want power and wealth. Their religion is money. Same with foreign mercenaries hired by the NATO powers.
However the corporate media wants you to think that all Muslims are religious fanatics who want to die as martyrs, and don't care about money. Therefore the "war on terror" is justified.
