BBC Reporter Could Have Staged Own Kidnapping

What a strange twist to a story already rife with intrigue.

In a new twist to the whereabouts of BBC correspondent Alan Johnston, who has been reportedly missing since he was last seen in Gaza on March 12, the Palestinian security forces are investigating the possibility that Johnston may have staged his own kidnapping, an Arab newspaper reported Monday.

The London-based Arab language newspaper, Al-Hayat reported that Johnston staged his capture by Palestinian militants in the Gaza Strip after he received a notice from his employers that he would be fired in the near future.

Corporate globalization (aka vulture capitalism) manifests itself in the strangest ways.

If this technique catches on, we'll have a wave of tens of thousands of kidnappings in the next few years!

... the incident last September, wherein FOX employees were kidnapped in Gaza. They were "forced to accept Islam," at the point of a gun, and then freed without incident. Strange. What did we find out about their captors? They were dressed as Palestinian militants; they spoke Arabic; and they acted Arabic; however, no-one was privvy to their visage — not even the captive journalists. What became of it? Were the captors brought to justice? Is there an ongoing investigation? Was it another staged incident whereby the Zioneocons' PR (Propaganda and Reconnaissance) mouthpiece, aka FOX, could further collectively demonize The Palestinian People in the wake of a thorough ass-kicking handed out to Israel by Hizballah? Was it an attempt to take pressure off Israel for their heinous blitzkrieg, aka, "Summer Rains"? We know how Israel operates; they will go to almost any length to throw sugar on their turds in order to cover up, or hide from the public, what they devilishly, euphemistically call "PR mistakes".

... been kidnapped by israel. Anyone thought of that one?

Why does noone ever talk about the other suspect?

Alan was known as a friend of Palestine, and was the only Western journalist brave enough to remain and report from Gaza after all the others left due to fear of kidnappings allegedly committed by Palestinians. He remained because of the importance of the story he wanted to share.

Why would the BBC strive to fire the only Western journalist in Gaza? Surely he gives them exclusive sccops and stories.

Why would any politically minded Palestinians shoot themselves and their cause in the foot and kidnap the only journalist telling the story of Gaza to the Western world?

Why would any criminal Palestinian kidnap Johnston, hide him for weeks, and not demand any ransom, or anything at all?

Why do we assume the kidnappers are Palestinian at all, without any evidence?

And why speculate that he staged his kidnapping when seeing no evidence of Palestinian involvement?

Why is noone asking the most obvious questions???
-Who benefits?

There are two groups in Israeli occupied Gaza that may have kidnapped Alan Johnston: Palestinians or Zionists.

I posted it as an interesting theory being promulgated by the media.

Under any other circumstance and in any other region I might find it plausible. But, in Palestine I do not.

For months, I have suspected israelis of kidnapping journalists in Gaza and the West Bank.

They're the only ones who have anything to gain by it.
