And israel would find itself alone, without a 'friend' in sight.

Anti-zionism is no longer a 'fringe' movement.
It is now part and parcel of being human, for anyone with an ounce of humanity left in them cannot stand back silently and tolerate israel's inhumane treatment of Palestinians, Lebanese, and other Arabs (soon Persians too) in the Middle East.
