will the REAL Al Aqsa please stand up

It has recently come to my attention that many Muslims (and Non-Muslims) around the world - who have never been to Jerusalem - would not recognize "Al Aqsa" mosque if they saw it.

Specifically, many don't realize that the structure below is NOT Al Aqsa, though it's image is commonly used when referring to it.

Dome of the Rock

This is Al Aqsa.

Al Aqsa Mosque

The former was built to commemorate the site where Muslims believe that the prophet Muhammad ascended to the heavens.

The latter is where they believe Muhammad led all the prophets who came before him (Jesus, Moses, John, Abraham, etc.) in prayer to God.

Both are located in a compound called Haram Al-Sharif or Noble Sanctuary (below) - The Dome of the Rock on the upper left, Al Aqsa on the lower right.

Haram Al Sharif

The theory is that rather than being simply a coincidence that images of the Dome are more commonly used than images of Al Aqsa, that it's a deliberate effort by zionists to confuse Muslims who have never been to Jerusalem into believing that the Dome of the Rock IS Al Aqsa.

This way, zionists could theoretically destroy Al Aqsa while making it appear that it's still in tact.

I'm not sure that I subscribe to that theory. Not that I would put it passed israelis to try - it just seems unlikely that they would succeed.

Nevertheless, it's worth passing around for those who don't know what the REAL Al Aqsa looks like.

But the Israelis want to destroy both anyway, so what would be the point?

I really doubt it would confuse Muslims, but it could work on Christians, and especially Americans.

Your critique is valid.

However, while Israel would like to get rid of both places, their first target would be the Al Aqsa mosque, since that is where tension and strife occur, and since the Dome is a globally recognized symbol. If Israel blew up the Al Aqsa mosque, the non-Muslim world would think, “At least they didn’t blow up the Dome, which is the important place.” Most Muslims would not be deceived in this way, but there are hundreds of millions of Muslims in Southeast Asia, and some of them might be.

QRS noticed that there are very few images of the Al Aqsa mosque available online, while there are plenty of images of the Dome. Indeed, when media outlets issue news stories about Al Aqsa, they often use stock photos of the Dome.

QRS wondered how this confusion came about, and whether the Zionist maggots work to maintain it – and if so, why? We know Israelis concentrate on the manipulation of imagery, as evidenced by their severe restrictions on foreign and domestic journalism and photography. Given the importance to Muslims of both the Dome and Al Aqsa (two separate places) and given the depth of Zionist treachery, the confusion between the two places seems odd, almost as though it were Zio-engineered.

QRS has a hypothesis, not a theory, and I find it worthy of consideration.

Thanks for reading.

It certainly merits consideration! If I came across as bashing the theory, that was not my intention. If it has a chance of serving their interests (building the Third Temple), they will try, no doubt. They probably have many ideas like these ready, in case they might need them some day. They live on deception, after all.
