'Gaza' rockets just miss Human Rights Commissioner

Maybe, just maybe, someone was trying to send a message to Ms. Arbour.

Palestinian militants in Gaza fired rockets into an Israeli border town on Tuesday during a visit by the U.N. high commissioner for human rights, critically wounding one person, witnesses and ambulance workers said.

The commissioner, Louise Arbour, was unhurt in the attack, said Christopher Gunness, spokesman for the Office of the U.N. Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process.

"They (the rockets) landed a few hundred yards away from where we were," said Gunness, who accompanied Arbour on the visit to Sderot, a town often targeted by militants in Gaza.

"She was in a car but the delegation had parked very briefly when we heard very loud explosions. There were two plumes of smoke," he said.

The Magen David Adom ambulance service said a factory worker, described by media reports as a man in his 40s, was critically wounded.

Any images of this unfortunate soul, or just editorials 'describing' his misfortune?

The armed wing of the Palestinian militant group Hamas said it launched two makeshift rockets at the town.

Says who?

The salvo landed shortly after Israeli troops killed a Hamas gunman [and a 70 year old woman] in northern Gaza.

How convenient.

Is it possible that these opportune 'rockets' were fired from Gaza?

Sure. But, not likely.

of the israeli man who was allegedly 'critically injured'.

Very little blood - lots of hysteria. Looks more like he has a case of whiplash.

The images are available on demand - too much work to post all this shit.

is likely that;

The explosions occurred 200 yards away. I wonder if the distance not traveled due to the 'brief park' would have equaled somewhere around 200 yards travel.

Anyone know what the brief park mentioned in the story was for?

Then again, I'm a conspiracy nut so what would I know?
