Great article! Thank you for putting our thoughts into words! This is an occasion when I can say thank God that I'm from the Middle East and don't have to have the holocaust shoved down my throat with every breath:) I can talk about it anywhere and anytime... and everybody will love discussing it! These past few years of watching the US political scene has really taught me to appreciate the amazing "freedoms" I didn't realize I had!

I just read online dictionary on that word and interestingly from wwii till now word was gradually reserved only for mass murder of Jews under Nazi regime. Word is actually applicable to any mass murder or destruction of people. I guess recent Holocaust was in Rwanda and Srebrenica. There was one in Cambodia where 2 million people perished under Khmer Rouge. However these recent holocausts are always referred to in term of genocide. Another word they used is pogrom and it is interesting to see that word pogrom is used for slaughter of minorities especially Jews. It appears from dictionary definitions that nobody suffered so specially as Jews did. Although it does reveal scientific bias of those linguists who never forgot to mention Jews in those definitions. Is another word that is mis-used. It has been appropriated as a word denoting Jew hatred. Some dictionaries most of them, exclude the hatred of Arabs from the definition, even though Arabs are semites.

Trav: This guy is hilarious. He mentions Palestine with capital letter which proves that Palestine is a national state of Palestinians and yet criticizes (probably other Jews)" those who do not agree with the means used by Zionists to invade Palestine and transform it's territory into other national Jewish state. Everybody knows that such act of occupation is aggression on native population and can not be justified by any means. Other Zionists on that page are talking about peace and harmony between Arabs and Jews and by God that is exactly what US is today saying to Arabs about Iraq. They want lasting peace while the country is occupied and devastated by decades of sanctions and innumerable bombing air raids. How can you possibly talk about peace and harmony if your mere presence is the root cause for state of war and chaos. Either we are intellectually too retarded to comprehend their point or these Zionists are high on some really powerful stuff.:))
