Have mercenaries become "integral members" of US embassies abroad??
Have mercenaries become "integral members" of US embassy communities? Are the 4 dead... Filipinos... or are they one Filipino, two Indians and one Nepalese? Is the complicit media having a hard time lying as well as it used to??
At least we know now that mercenaries have become "integral members" of US embassies abroad... or rather US fortresses.... As for the US, it can't even secure its own embassy in Baghdad let alone secure Baghdad itself or Iraq!
I guess that is why Mzzz. Rice was sooo nice at luncheon today with Manouchehr:)

Baghdad Attack Kills Four Contractors in Green Zone (Correct)
By Robin Stringer
May 3 (Bloomberg) -- A rocket attack on the heavily fortified Baghdad Green Zone yesterday killed four contractors working for the U.S. government.
The dead included one Filipino, two Indians and a Nepalese citizen, the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad said in an e-mailed statement today.
The four were ``integral members of our embassy community,'' Embassy Charge D'Affaires Daniel Speckhard said in a separate e- mailed statement. ``We value their contributions to our efforts on behalf of the people of Iraq, and we mourn their passing.''
The central Baghdad Green Zone houses foreign embassies and government buildings. It is protected by U.S. forces and private contractors. The area is surrounded by high concrete blast walls and all entry points are staffed by security guards. The zone frequently comes under attack from rocket and mortar fire.
An Iraqi lawmaker was killed in a suicide bomb attack inside the Green Zone on April 12.

Four Filipinos killed in rocket attack
Baghdad - Four Filipinos working for the US government were killed by a rocket attack on Baghdad's heavily fortified Green Zone, the embassy reported on Thursday.
"These four colleagues, citizens of the Philippines, were integral members of our embassy community," said US charge d'affaires Daniel Speckhard.
"We value their contributions to our efforts on behalf of the people of Iraq, and we mourn their passing," he added, in a statement.
The rocket attack took place on Wednesday after several days of mortar attacks against the Green Zone, the seat of the Iraqi government as well as the US and British embassies.
The Filipinos died on the same day that a US military spokesperson warned that insurgent gunners were trying "to score a spectacular hit or obtain a headline grabbing direct hit" on a Green Zone target.
Both Sunni and Shi'a armed groups periodically launch attacks against the area, although US Rear Admiral Mark Fox denied that the latest attacks were part of a concerted effort by anti-American forces.
"It's more than potshots, but not a campaign," he said.

Arroyo saddened by Filipino deaths in Iraq
President Arroyo on Thursday ordered a "quick reassessment" of the country's repatriation plan for workers in Iraq following the deaths of four Filipinos in a rocket attack.
Arroyo's spokesman Ignacio Bunye said the president was "saddened by the news" and had asked the foreign affairs department to "ensure the immediate repatriation of the remains" of the workers.
He said the foreign office had been asked to "conduct a quick reassessment of the situation to determine if more OFWs (overseas Filipino workers) in Iraq need or want to be repatriated."
Arroyo imposed a ban on travel to Iraq in 2004 after Filipino truck driver Angelo de la Cruz was seized by insurgents. She also caused a mild rift between Washington and Manila when she pulled out a token contingent of Filipino troops serving with US coalition forces which was a condition for Cruz' freedom.
Officials say more than 4,000 Filipinos working in US camps in Iraq -- mostly as cooks or maintenance personnel -- remained there when the ban was imposed.
The dead Filipinos were working for the US embassy when a rocket slammed into Baghdad's heavily fortified Green Zone Wednesday, US charge d'affaires Daniel Speckhard said in the Iraqi capital.
The attack took place after several days of mortar attacks against the Green Zone, the seat of the Iraqi government as well as the US and British embassies. The Filipinos died on the same day that a US military spokesman warned that insurgent gunners were trying "to score a spectacular hit or obtain a headline grabbing direct hit" on a Green Zone target.
Bunye said a ban on Filipinos traveling to Iraq would remain, but nationals who were already there were "urged to take necessary precautions for their safety" while keeping in touch with the embassy there.
Another Filipino, accountant Robert Tarongoy, was kidnapped by militants but freed in June 2005 after eight months in captivity.
Arroyo had earlier created a special task force to look into repatriation plans for those still in Iraq.

The Nature of the Beast
"Johnny was soldier who lived right next to me. Young kid who came out to Iraq and had been there for almost a year. He had a few kills under his belt and was a wreck. He tried to act like he was fine with things, but would always end up breaking down mid-sentence and getting choked up. He wore nicotine patches, chewed the nicotine gum, smoked two packs a day, and always had a dip in his lip. He wanted complete annihilation of all the Iraqi people and to get back home to Disney World.
The list goes on and on. Afghanistan has a batch unmatched too... Characters you could not muster in your wildest dreams. The nuts and bolts of the machine are all loose and ready to drop at anytime. Some of the people out here are only one step away from the crazy fucks you see in a 7-11 talking to the hot dog machine. There are some sane people, but not many, and they are boring anyway..."

What did Rosie say? I think she opened a few minds out there and good for her!
***Not one of those countries touched a soul in North America or Great Britain. Why are we invading them?
***The troops are NOT heroes. They signed up for free college tuition and many other benefits. These guys are mostly from poor families, violent backgrounds and many are ex-convicts.
***Among so many other things about this sickening travesty this thing is definitely about OIL.
Do I hear the name Bechtel as in Riley and Stephen Bechtel whose private family-run corporation has made massive fortunes off of wars today and wars gone by?
Those soldiers will definitely come back violent, broken, estranged, empty - if they weren't already then.
