Big Brother's X-ray Vans
This technology would be at least 25 years old by now, I'm betting, but only recently released commercially:
From the website of the corporation behind these things:

"AS&E X-ray inspection systems are used by governments and corporations around the world to combat terrorism, drug and weapons smuggling, illegal immigration, and trade fraud.
AS&E specializes in detection technologies that can uncover dangerous and elusive threats, including explosives, plastic and metal weapons, and radioactive devices, such as dirty bombs and nuclear WMD. AS&E systems also detect commonly smuggled goods, such as drugs and alcohol. These X-ray systems are deployed worldwide at ports and borders, and military and high-threat facilities.
Our signature technology - Z Backscatter - gives our systems unparalleled detection capabilities, making it the technology of choice when the highest levels of security are required. Our elite client base includes the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (including U.S. Customs and Border Protection) and the U.S. Department of Defense, among numerous other federal agencies. International customers include Her Majesty's Customs & Excise (UK), Hong Kong Customs, the Royal Thai Police (Thailand), New Zealand Customs, and the Port of Sokhna (Egypt)."
Here's a comment from someone who used one in Iraq from the DEFENSETECH website:
I used these vans when I deployed with the 1st Cavalry. We were responsible for entry control points to key facilities, like Baghdad Airport. The vans were a tremendous asset, incredibly accurate.
A prime example: Inside one vehicle we scanned was a gentleman who had been shot by insurgents. The little buggers got him seven times, and he somehow survived. He lived at a village near the airport, and went through our check point. We were able to see the metal still in his body, while he was still sitting in his car. The vehicle didn't have to even stop.
But apparently we needn't worry about investing in lead underwear just yet, because according to an article from the Health Physics Society that they link to from their website, "At this time, no other technologies ...offer the same security benefits of backscatter x-ray security scans...The risk to any individual from frequent backscatter x-ray scans is truly trivial."

When are these Nazi bastards gonna realize that zapping people with X-rays and microwaves is ASSAULT with a DEADLY WEAPON, to wit: radiation emitting device. X-rays can be measured on a Geiger counter! From >cellular< phones alone, dummies all over the place are dying from brain tumors. Nothing's like getting on a packed bus or train and being surrounded by cell-heads!
Has anyone seen the scans of the rat brains that were exposed to minutae microwaves? They were bleeding proteins internally! I'd upload the picture if I can find it in my archives..
Can someone please enlighten me as to how to upload pictures with the HTML tags here?
Thanks! =)
If you've got it on your computer, just upload it to photobucket or whatever image hosting site you use, and then use the URL to paste it into a comment. Put the URL into this code:
< img src=(URL) >
and it'll show up. But don't include the spaces that I have, between the brackets and each end of the code.
Unless I've misunderstood you, and you're asking a different question.
If the picture's already on the net somewhere, just do the same, using the URL.
I know, it's the first thing that comes to mind, isn't it. I've had plenty of x-rays in the past because I broke my femur in a car accident, and they invariably provide you with a lead plate to cover your balls with. And we're talking much stronger radiation in the case of these vans too, obviously.
Apparently, security is not only preferable to freedom now, it's preferable to cancer. Heh.
But since when have "they" given a shit; look at the results of the "depleted" uranium they're littering Iraq and Afghanistan with even as we speak.
Click on the picture for even worse ones.
More information in this short but very powerful video.
eek, that's got to be one of the most disgusting things out there! I remember mailing Eric Blumrich some bucks when I first discovered Bushflash.com because I know it's a very powerful 'artistic' tool to use these short flash vids with music like NOFX to get your point across to our vidiot culture.
Yah, cellphones make your brain bleed.

time to start minimizing cell phone use!

"Money" has no value - people do.
Cordless technology does it too (800Mhz), phones(900Mhz), wireless internet, mouse, keyboard, speakers.. makes you feel sick, causes cancer. Anything putting out a signal, CB/HAM +radios, microwave oven, TELEVISION - 60HZ, sends an EMF wave 40 feet, power lines.. in fact anything electric makes EMFs!

Personally I find that cell phones warm my head in about 20-30 seconds, a cordless in about 1 minute; makes the back corner of head hurt, sort of like I stuck a battery on my tongue with an ensuing throb/headache.
Now, I know why you call yourself "Grim reality" and Geeez calls himself "Geeez."
What a nightmare.
We're so eager to get as many things as possible done in our lives that we embrace technologies and products that accelerate our demise.

Another example of destroying ourselves and the ecosystem in our haste for profit and convenience is GM crops. The disappearing bee problem could be due to genes jumping the species barrier and killing them off, according to a 3 year study by a German professor. And if that's the case, it'll be happening with humans, too. But never mind that, because if bees were to become extinct, humanity would only last four years, apparently. That's how vital their role is in the ecosystem, pollination etc. More on the bee thing below.

There's so many ways we're attacking ourselves and the environment and threatening our own existence that it'll be a miracle if we make it out alive.
