Friday, May 25, 2007 With Democratic contenders reciting the mantra, "All options are on the table," and Iran defying U.N. sanctions, pursuing nuclear enrichment and detaining U.S. citizens, Bush now has a blank check to launch a third war: Patrick Buchanan The antiwar left base was thrown under the bus yesterday by the Democrats because it is increasingly seen as irrelevant, with no where else to go, by the DLC and as a result ~ we are a step closer to a war with Iran. A war in which the Democrats will have co-ownership with Bush because they didn't stop him when they could have in 2007. In essence, the power and influence of the Israeli Lobby carried more weight than over 75% of Americans who have no confidence in Bush, the direction of the country or the Iraq occupation. The Democrats are just as beholden to the Israeli Lobby (AIPAC) as the Republicans ~ witness Nancy Pelosi, under orders from AIPAC, stripping from the House bill a stipulation that Bush must come to Congress for authorization before launching an attack on Iran. Only one major columnist got it right on why the Democrats caved in yesterday and that was Patrick Buchanan who rightly proclaimed ~ " Because they lack the courage of their convictions. This bill will allow us, Chevron; ExxonMobli; ConocoPhillips; Shell and others to continue to use YOUR tax money to steal Iraqi Oil.
In fact, we're so happy that you suckers... oops, i mean "customers" are so blinded by the flag that we decided to reward you by dropping the price of gasoline nearly 10 cents a gallon from before the vote on last Thursday, until the bill was signed by our shill, GW Bush.
But we at "Big Oil" realize there's a tough road ahead in stealing more oil fields, like Iran's. But we know that all Bush and Cheney have to do is wave the flag some more and like trained puppies, a majority of you will jump at the chance to bring "democracy" to yet another oil-rich country.
Remember, we're all in this together and we know you'll give till it hurts. This we can be sure of, since we have a monopoly on oil.
