What is Israel's role in the Lebanon affair?

It is not because Israel is not in the headlines of the news from Lebanon that it has nothing to do with Lebanon. Remember Iraq? Israel was not in the headlines either... It is however most certainly an essential driving force behind the conflict in Lebanon.
Who afterall is most threatened by Hizbollah??
Who is most threatened by the return of millions of Palestinian non-Jewish refugees into Palestine?? Hundreds of thousands of which are currently residing in refugee camps in Lebanon and being ethnically cleansed as we speak??
What is the condition that the Arab people refuse to have removed from any peace initiative with Israel?? It is the Right of Return of all the Palestinian refugees that have been living in refugee camps under miserable conditions since the Jewish/Israeli persecution of Palestinians and the continuous expelling of Palestinians from their lands and appropriation of their properties.

Could it possibly be that 2 major Israeli objectives are being faught for in Lebanon at once... and Israel and the Israeli lobby in the US have nothing to do with it???

Well, that wasn't really a question.

A few quotes from Zionist strategy for Lebanon: Some where written in the 40's..., some in the 80's..., but Israel never stops with its criminal agenda...

"Lebanon's total dissolution into five provinces serves as a precendent for the entire Arab world including Egypt, Syria, Iraq and the Arabian peninsula and is already following that track. The dissolution of Syria and Iraq later on into ethnically or religiously unqiue areas such as in Lebanon, is Israel's primary target on the Eastern front in the long run, while the dissolution of the military power of those states serves as the primary short term target. Syria will fall apart, in accordance with its ethnic and religious structure, into several states such as in present day Lebanon, so that there will be a Shi'ite Alawi state along its coast, a Sunni state in the Aleppo area, another Sunni state in Damascus hostile to its northern neighbor, and the Druzes who will set up a state, maybe even in our Golan, and certainly in the Hauran and in northern Jordan. This state of affairs will be the guarantee for peace and security in the area in the long run, and that aim is already within our reach today."14

Ben Gurion:

"A partial Jewish State is not the end, but only the beginning. I am certain that we can not be prevented from settling in the other parts of the country and the region."

In May of 1948 he presented his strategic aims to the General Staff. “We should prepare to go over to the offensive. Our aim is to smash Lebanon, Trans-Jordan, and Syria. The weak point is Lebanon, for the Moslem regime is artificial and easy for us to undermine. We shall establish a Christian state there, and then we will smash the Arab Legion, eliminate Trans-Jordan; Syria will fall to us. We then bomb and move on and take Port Said, Alexandria, and Sinai.” [50]
