Ahmadinejad: Supporters of Oppressed Palestinians Accused of Terrorism

TEHRAN (Fars News Agency)- When big powers realize that a nation is echoing the cries of the oppressed Palestinian people, they accuse it of supporting terrorists, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said.

Addressing the local residents of Samirom in Iran's central province of Isfahan on the fourth leg of his 29th tour of the different parts of the country, the president noted the slogans chanted in support of human rights in the contemporary world, and said, "You can witness some of those who claim to be advocates of human rights are among the worst killers and murder hundreds of people in Iraq and Palestine on a daily basis, while they also keep their own people in misery and hardship."

He further pointed to a recent statement released by one of the EU countries on the worrying conditions of human rights in Iran, and said, "Do you understand human rights at all? You have suppressed your own people for 60 years and you adopt different measures, including arrangement of fairs and exhibitions and building of statutes, to convince them that their ancestors have been criminals all in a bid to give concessions to the criminal Zionists."

"And if anyone of your people protests to the crimes of the Zionist regime, you will arrest him/her," the president added.

He reminded the barbaric actions of the Zionist regime in the occupied territories, and said, "When big powers witness that a nation is echoing the cries of the oppressed Palestinian people, they accuse it of supporting terrorists."

Ahmadinejad also said, "The same bullying powers, which have misused nuclear energy instead of using it for rendering service to humanity, stand up against any nation willing to make a correct and proper use of this God-gifted source of energy."

"But the message of our people is clear, our people will continue their path," he underlined.
