The patients express that both countries have excellent medical doctors. That is true.

The difference is in the economic system. As we all know the socialist, planned economy of Cuba is very backward. It tends to consider sickness as a socio-economic cost, which should be reduced to the minimum so that people can live whole and productive lives. How silly!

They do not even understand that any kind of economic activity that generates profit is good for the economy? They seriously believe that there is a kind of "quality difference" between production of goods and f.i. treatment of cancer!

They may even consider that good health has a value in its own right!

Where would the US economy be if it did not have the cancer industry, helped by FDA, which supplies patients by outlawing Stevia and mandating Aspartame as the artificial sweetener of choice?

This subversive "health tourism" to unfree Cuba will certainly not be allowed to continue. It feeds propaganda munition to the terrorists. It may not directly support Cuba's economy to treat Americans free of charge, but it is surely a way to steal profits from the US health sector, which needs protection against low prices like in communist Canada.

Health care is one of the few things which cannot be allowed to be outsourced. That would leave the US with only the lawyers, investment bankers, bar maids and the occasional hair dresser!

It is time to be patriotic and care for America!
