Nasrallah: Condolezza's "new Middle East" project gone with the Wind

My message to all the Lebanese, Muslim Shiites, Sunni Muslims, Christians and Druz: We have been clear that we want Lebanon to be a country for all the Lebanese from all religions and sects. We do not want to change the political formula.

Hezbollah's chief stressed there will be no "new Middle East" after the victory of August the 14th. "This is a project that has gone with the wind.
------------------
Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah stressed Saturday that the victory achieved in the year 2006 was a strategic victory that disgraced all "Big Israel" propagandists. In a speech broadcast on a huge screen in the southern town of Bint Jbeil, Sayyed Nasrallah also said that last summer's war with Israel had foiled US plans for a new Middle East. Sayyed Nasrallah was marking the 1st anniversary of the Bint Jbeil martyrs of the "Sincere Promise." In his speech, the Hezbollah chief praised resistance fighters "who proved once again that (Israel) is weaker than a cobweb. "This war aimed to impose a new Middle East, broken up into confessional and ethnic mini-states, serving the interests of the United States and Israel. The US project was swept aside by the victory of the Islamic Resistance."

"Olmert's objectives and the achievements of his government in the war have diminished as far as banning me from roaming in Beirut. I want to assure Olmert that in fact, I am roaming in Beirut.

This very position by Olmert constitutes a condemnation to Israel and a mark of disgrace for this entity that has wanted to create "Big Israel" and then "Greater Israel."

Hezbollah's chief stressed there will be no "new Middle East" after the victory of August the 14th. "This is a project that has gone with the wind. Didn't you notice how Condoleezza Rice held her tongue and forever?" he addressed the cheering crowd.

Sayyed Nasrallah criticized the international community for accusing Hezbollah of violating UN resolution 1701, by saying that the Islamic resistance possesses missiles that can target any spot in occupied Palestine. He accused the UN of following a policy of double standards particularly when it keeps a blind eye on Israel, which has been beating the drums of war through military drills and war games in northern occupied Palestine.

"We will not wait for anyone to defend us. We will defend ourselves and our country. We possessed and we still possess missiles that can target any spot in occupied Palestine if Israel attacked Lebanon. In case of any new confrontation, we will be much convinced and more certain of victory. The military structure of the resistance is much stronger. Since August 13 2006, generations of youths have joined the Islamic Resistance and they are young people who know no weariness, weakness or defeat and feel that their battle has just begun. If the Israeli army had fought a group of fighters in 2006, today they can be sure that their numbers have multiplied a hundredfold," Sayyed Nasrallah stressed.

He renewed his call for a national unity government and dismissed allegations that his group is seeking to govern Lebanon or impose tyrannical rule over the country. His eminence also refuted claims that Hezbollah and the Amal movement are seeking to turn against the Taif Accord, saying that the aim of that and other political wrangling to kill time so as not to form a national unity government.

"My message to all the Lebanese, Muslim Shiites, Sunni Muslims, Christians and Druz: We have been clear that we want Lebanon to be a country for all the Lebanese from all religions and sects. We do not want to change the political formula. We are not looking for ruling or controlling Lebanon. Therefore, there is no need for anyone to talk about an Islamic state or about Islamicizing Lebanon. There is no need to talks about a Shiite endeavor to control the remaining Muslim sects. These are fantasies and illusions aimed at causing sedition among the Lebanese," Sayyed Nasrallah said.

... are the pride of the Arab world, and Sheikh Nasrallah is the greatest, most ethical, and most disciplined leader the Arab world has seen in modern times. (Ishmail Haniyeh is a close second.)

AIPAC = Apartheid Israel Placing America in the Crosshairs

He needs a bold and daring public relations strategy more than he needs rockets.

He should hate missiles, and he should make it clear (especially to the West) that he hates missiles and weapons of war.

Public relations to please whom? The "masters" in Israel or America?

Hizbullah and Nasrallah don't need any public relations strategies. They are already heroes amongst their own people and that is what matters.

Public relations are best left to people like Mahmoud Abbas, Mubarak, King Abdullah and other slaves of zionism.
When the zionists give up their dreams of Eretz Israel and
Israel and America stop threatening and invading the people of the Middle East, Hizbullah, HAMAS, Iran and Syria will have to remain militarily prepared.

It is Israel and America that need a strategy, strategy to get out of other people's lands.

Hmm....I thought Rhiannon insisted that Nasrallah never mentions sects in his speeches?

Seems he does.

And rightfully so.

Straight from the hip and unlike some people on this board, my love and support for Nasrallah opened up long, long before last year.

I am truly glad that people can now see what he is and that he has changed the world.

Now it is time for some people to change themselves.

The zionists want to be able to call Hezbollah a terrorist organisation, and given that they have full spectrum media dominance, if Nasrallah demonstrates any kind of fondness for violence it only works in their favour.

Public relations to please whom?

Public relations to win the hearts and minds of the ordinary people in the West. Not to please them, but to convince them that they should go out of their way to withdraw support for racist apartheid Israel.

It was distressing to see how easily the Western democracies (" ") were led down the path of perpetual war and conflict, but down that path we went. It only happened that way because rather evil people were doing the leading. At this point in time, in the West, the only thing to do is to wake as many people as possible up to the fact that they have been misled. That is the only way things are going to change. We could certainly use the help of people like Nasrallah in that task. If he is a good leader then he can be an example for all of us, not just for his own group of people in Lebanon.

You are being arrogant and preumptious.

Western public opinion does not matter to us.

Our priority is not the public opinion in the west. Our priority is to liberate ourselves from occupiers and invaders. The public in the west is not going to help us and we don't need their handouts.

The public in the west as compared to public in third world countries has it's disposal all kinds of information systems, all they have to do is get off their couches, and from front of their TVs and start finding out the truth and revolt against their oppressors in their own countries.

But I can assure that even if Jesus himself were to appear in the west, they would reject him and say he is a false Messiah.

With all my respect to Al Manar and to the Moqawama (both of which I appreciate more than I could say), I wish that better translations of Sayyed Hassan's speeches were available as the existing translations don't really do him justice. Sayyed Hassan is one of the best speakers I have ever heard... whether we are speaking on the level of language or content. The man is simply brilliant and extremely articulate. All this however somehow 'disappears' in a weak translation. The Zionist lobby (MEMRI) used to provide translations of Sayyed Hassan's speeches (edited of course to suit their purpose) years ago when he was still relatively unknown to the West. Now however that he is known and rather popular for his struggle against Israeli oppression, occupation and Zionism, MEMRI has stopped translating him. I figure that they fully realize that a section of the American people would have used their translations in a manner that would no longer benefit Israel..

It's like the neocon warmongers have said all along, except in complete reverse: Arabs/Persians must fight the Jewish-Anglo juggernaut with words, over here (in the West), otherwise they will have to fight them with guns and missiles from their homes in the middle east.

It's much smarter to fight with words - that's why the Zionists encourage the growth of purely militant Arab groups in the ME, and then shine their spotlight on them.

(I don't mean to sound arrogant - I'm just trying to make sure that I at least get the points I'm trying to make across. And I find that I lose my train of thought if I expent too much effort on making what I say polished and polite).

While ever communication/translation difficulties are a barrier to the goyim of the West waking up to the true state of affairs in the ME, Nasrallah and others (Ahmedinejad) are shooting themselves in the foot by not going out of their way to make sure that the things they say are interpreted correctly at least by someone, somewhere. It's silly to let your enemy serve as translator when you are communicating with a potential ally. It's silly to fail to have the most faithful translations possible. But again, if they allow themselves to sound belligerent, it will only be used against them.
