Disaster looms as 'Saddam dam' struggles to hold back the Tigris
"As world attention focuses on the daily slaughter in Iraq, a devastating disaster is impending in the north of the country, where the wall of a dam holding back the Tigris river north of Mosul city is in danger of imminent collapse.
"It could go at any minute," says a senior aid worker who has knowledge of the struggle by US and Iraqi engineers to save the dam. "The potential for disaster is very great."
If the dam does fail, a wall of water will sweep into Mosul, Iraq's third largest city with a population of 1.7 million, 20 miles to the south. Experts say the flood waters could destroy 70 per cent of Mosul and inflict heavy damage 190 miles downstream along the Tigris."

What a great way for the ziostaniacs to stage a pseudo-prophecy event (the Euphrates river dries up to make way for the kings of the east to waltz into the battle of Armageddon in the book of Revelations by John the Revelator, not to be confused with John the Apostle) AND a genocide of the Iraqis in the oil rich Mosul area in preparation for the New Rotterdam (Haifa) Pipeline to ziostan.
Who says the new world order freaks aren't efficient!

If this dam gives way, it'll be as if Bush successfully orchestrated another Katrina - without the storm!
I can't understand why it's not front page news in ever paper!
Nevermind. I take that back.
Typical Zionist Coverup.

"Money" has no value - people do.
It is not to be ignored that two Iraqi rivers are tied up with the End Times as reported by the Prophet of Islam. It mentions river Euphrates:
God’s Messenger said, “The Hour will not come to pass before the River Euphrates dries up to unveil the mountain of gold, for which people will fight. Ninety-nine out of one hundred will die (in the fighting) and every man amongst them will say: “Perhaps I may be the only one to remain alive.” (Sahih Bukhari, Sahih Muslim)
I actually heard that there are big quantities of gold under the ancient bed of river Euphrates that have been discovered with satellite imagery. No wonder there is such persistent fight about who will rule or rather exploit Iraqi natural resources. However according to the above hadith it seems that nobody will have time enjoy it.
It is interesting that river Tigris in the following hadith is mentioned as "Dajjal". I wonder if that name was used to warn people of impending disaster and calamity it will bring to people as the Dajjal (Antichrist) will.
Narrated Abu Bakrah: The Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) said: Some of my people will alight on low-lying ground, which they will call al-Basrah, beside a river called Dajjal (the Tigris) over which there is a bridge. Its people will be numerous and it will be one of the capital cities of immigrants (or one of the capital cities of Muslims, according to the version of Ibn Yahya who reported from Abu Ma'mar). At the end of time the descendants of Qantura' will come with broad faces and small eyes and alight on the bank of the river. The town's inhabitants will then separate into three sections, one of which will follow cattle and (live in) the desert and perish, another of which will seek security for themselves and perish, but a third will put their children behind their backs and fight the invaders, and they will be the martyrs. (Book #37, Hadith #4292)
"Let there be Light!"
The U.S. occupation forces are facilitating a genocidal event by not demanding the draining of the dangerous Saddam dam. The Iraqi government is incapable of dealing with this impending event.
is incapable of almost everything because it is not government of people for people but for US/zionist interests.

"The dam, to be built outside Dargecit town, 28 miles from the Syrian border, is scheduled to become operational in 2014.
Part of a large decade-old plan to boost economic development in the poor, mainly Kurdish southeast, it will create up to 10,000 jobs, pave the way for fisheries, irrigate vast areas of farmland and provide vital energy for Turkey's flourishing economy.
It will become Turkey's second-largest water reservoir and fourth largest power-producing facility, generating 3.8 billion kWh of electricity per year."
