Excellent piece! I second what QRSWAVE says. You may be interested in a book entitled, "Blow the House Down," by Robert Baer, retired CIA. Basically, it is the last book of three documenting U.S. involvement with Saudi oil, Corporations, jews, ect.. from the 1970's to now. This books talks about rouge CIA agents and people who knew of 9/11 prior making money off of it, because they were aware it was going to happen. Looks like that is what is happening now. Check the books out, they are a great read.

I don't buy this bourgeois crap to the effect that all you have to do is get rid of the evil fiat bankers and then your virtuous capitalist slavedrivers will be able to employ you all again.

Stop being frightened of red-baiting. Lenin may have turned the whole idea of marxism into an excuse for dictatorship, and I have never belonged to or supported any leninist party - but I've read Marx, and his account of why capitalism AS A WHOLE always ends up like it is now, warmongering and bankrupt, is better than the explanations of your currency freaks.

looking at a relative snapshot (based on percentages) of banking profits tells you nothing about the condition of workers.

In fact, workers are doing very poorly and their condition is worsening.

Moreover, as long as there are laws in place that allow corporatists to offset their losses through the tax system (by unloading it on us!) then their so-called losses cannot be good.
