Five years ago, I first learned that molten iron had been discovered in large quantities under the rubble of the three demolished towers of the World Trade Center, including Larry Silverstein's 47-story tower Salomon Brothers building (WTC 7) which collapsed mysteriously in the late afternoon of 9/11.
Two years ago, Professor Steven E. Jones of BYU presented his evidence and scientific analysis and concluded that the molten iron was probably the product of an aluminothermic reaction - most likely Thermate. The scientific evidence that the three collapsed towers were destroyed with explosives and Thermite analogues is quite compelling.
Three months ago, an independent journalist named

a "complete fruitcake and a complete and utter fraud."

THE MOLTEN METAL OF 9-11
In August 2002, I discovered that molten metal had been found - in the molten state - in the basements of the three collapsed towers. I obtained this information from two of the men who supervised the removal of the rubble from the destroyed World Trade Center.
In the basements of the collapsed twin towers, where each of their 47 support core columns were connected to the bedrock, hot spots of "literally molten steel" were discovered more than a month after the collapse. "Such persistent and intense residual heat, 70 feet below the surface, could explain how these crucial structural supports failed," I wrote at the time.

PROFESSOR STEVEN JONES
While some readers suggested at the time that Thermite was probably the cause of the molten metal, it was not until the fall of 2005, when Professor Steven E. Jones of Brigham Young University began to study and discuss the evidence from the WTC that the important questions surrounding Thermite and the molten metal seen at the WTC reached a larger audience. Jones concluded that the evidence indicates that the molten iron seen before and after the collapses was probably produced by aluminothermic reactions involving Thermite or Thermate.

I met with Professor Jones several times at the BYU campus during the spring of 2006 and visited Professor Thomas Cahill at the University of California at Davis between my visits to Provo. The data that these two professors have gathered corroborate the theory that large amounts of Thermite were used in the demolition of the three towers of the World Trade Center.
Shortly after I wrote a series of articles about the evidence of Thermite at the WTC during the summer of 2006, I was brutally attacked by three undercover cops who broke my right elbow and TASERed me in front of my wife and 8-year-old daughter. I was then maliciously prosecuted for aggravated assault and resisting a police officer. Despite an abundance of evidence that the Hoffman Estates police conspired to assault me before they arrived at my house and the fact that the police had destroyed their videos of the assault, I was found guilty of both charges. As I had been warned about the legal process in America, the side that gets the most evidence excluded wins. So it was.
Three weeks later, Professor Jones was the victim of a trap set for him on the NPR radio affiliate at the University of Utah:
On September 5, Doug Fabrizio, executive producer of RadioWest on the University of Utah's public radio station invited Jones to come on his one-hour program to discuss his 9/11 research.
After interviewing Jones for a brief 20 minutes, Fabrizio said goodbye to Jones and turned the remainder of the hour over to a discussion of conspiracy theories with two Jewish professors, a Robert Goldberg from the University of Utah and Gary Fine from Northwestern.
The first caller was a William Tumpowsky, chairman of the Jewish Community Relations Council and board member of the local Israeli-fund raising organization, the United Jewish Federation. Tumpowsky charged that Jones' was using code language to make anti-Semitic allegations. Goldberg supported this accusation.
Starting from this outrageous allegation, Fabrizio continued the hostile discussion with Goldberg and Fine, with frequent allegations that the now-absent physics professor was nothing more than an anti-Semite indulging in conspiracy fantasies. The most significant evidence brought forth by Jones' research was not even discussed.
Within two days, the authorities at BYU apparently caved to organized Jewish pressure and put Jones on paid leave.

Despite the fact that Professor Jones' research is extremely solid and is highly regarded among scientists, an independent journalist named Greg Palast, who has no known scientific credentials, recently called him a "fruitcake" and a "fraud."
"Dr. Jones is a complete fruitcake and a complete and utter fraud," Palast said in a May 2007 interview with Lenny Charles of International News Net (INN). Then, turning to the camera, Palast said, "Mr. Jones, come at me."
Palast also said that his investigation had concluded that there was "zero evidence" that the towers had been demolished with explosives or Thermite.

WHO IS GREG PALAST?
A web-writer known as Smoking Mirrors (SM) posted an article entitled "Greg Palast Takes a Dive in The Midnight Hour" about Palast's attack on Jones. Palast, he wrote, "presents himself as an investigative reporter. He’s been a counter-culture hero of sorts who likes to picture himself as a Sam Spade in fedora sort of a guy who tenaciously digs to the real facts when the smoke machines and the light show hit the stage.
"It appears that Greg Palast is not who he presents himself to be," he concluded. "It appears, from my view, that he is a disinfo specialist."
The article concluded that Palast "has put himself solidly on the side of untruth with his name-calling dismissal of Dr. Steven Jones.
"For some reason, Greg Palast thinks that Dr. Steven Jones is a fruitcake for questioning the official 9/11 story and for subjecting the official explanation of how and why the 3 WTC Towers fell to the disciplines of the science in which he is widely considered to be an expert," SM wrote.
"A child in primary school knows that 3 +2 does not add up to four. Greg Palast indicates that he does not know this in respect of the bad math in the official 9/11 story, yet… we are led to believe that Greg Palast is a truth seeker and an intelligent man.
"What is the explanation for Greg’s position in defiance of hard, empirical science, mathematical law and common sense? It can’t be that he doesn’t know. That’s as absurd as his rejection of what is obvious to an ordinary layman. So why… why does he defend the official story?" SM asks.
"Can Greg Palast be as stupid as his position makes him out to be?" he asks. "Something is wrong with this picture. What might that be?"
A ZIONIST APOLOGIST
I met Mr. Palast at a vote fraud event in Columbus, Ohio, after the 2004 elections. I would agree with Smoking Mirrors' description. Greg Palast struck me as more of a performer than an investigative journalist. He never took off his hat indoors and impolitely took over our table where we were selling Eric Hufschmid's book, Painful Questions. Palast's biggest interest was clearly himself and selling his books.
His analysis and discussion of the voting problems in the 2004 election was off the mark, in my opinion. He focused on disenfranchised black voters in Florida while my main concern is the disenfranchisement of the entire electorate via electronic and computer vote fraud.
A year later, Palast came to my attention when he penned a badly-written article entitled "Was the Invasion of Iraq a Jewish Conspiracy" for the Jewish periodical Tikkun. Although Palast's logic and writing are weak, he comes on strongly as a Zionist apologist.
"There are kooks and cranks and conspiracy nuts out there who think George Bush, from the moment he took office, had some kind of secret plan to invade Iraq and grab control of its oil. They’re wrong," Palast wrote. Yet Palast ignores and belittles the Zionist-written Project for a New American Century (PNAC) document from September 2000, "Rebuilding America's Defenses: Strategy, Forces and Resources For a New Century," which specifically calls for the U.S. military to become engaged in Iraq.
"Did the Jews do it?," Palast continued. "I mean, after killing Jesus, did the Elders of Zion manipulate the government of the United States into invading Babylon as part of a scheme to abet the expansion of Greater Israel?"
Yes, they did.
This is at least how millions of people around the world would answer Palast's question. Yet Palast wrote that he did not even consider this possibility until someone asked him about it in 2004. Palast is admitting that the war of aggression against Iraq had already waged for a year before he even thought about who was behind it. He certainly is not the quickest of investigative journalists.
He never even addresses the PNAC document directly, but writes that he obtained a confidential 101-page document "in February 2001, just before the tanks rolled." What document and what rolling tanks Palast is referring to is as vague as his entire article.
I was most intrigued by his desperate attempt to divert attention from the Zionist role in planning and fomenting the war in Iraq. He was writing for the Jewish intellectual audience that reads Tikkun, after all, so I decided to look into who Mr. Palast is and where he comes from.
PALAST'S ZIONIST ROOTS
Greg Palast is the product of a Chicago-based Russian Yiddish immigrant family which married into a immigrant Hungarian Jewish family. Gregory is the 55-year-old son of Gilbert (Gil) L. Palast and Gladys E. (nee Kaufman) Palast from Chicago. He is married to Linda Levy and has two children. The family lives in lower Manhattan. His sister, Geri, was an Asst. Secretary of Labor during the Clinton administration. Greg grew up in southern California and earned his business degrees, including an MBA (1976), under Milton Friedman at the University of Chicago. His parents still live in San Diego. He contributes to the British press, the well known left-leaning outlets who adamantly refuse to look at the evidence from 9-11.
According to a 1984 article in the San Diego Evening Tribune, his mother is a political activist who "learned about political organizing on the northwest side of Chicago." She may have been born in Hungary because the article says her "Jewish immigrant" parents "fled Hungary before World War II." The dates don't compute, however, unless "before" means 20 years before, because Gladys E. Kaufman married Gil, her "childhood sweetheart" from Chicago, in 1943. One will notice that the dates and facts in articles by and about the Palasts are somewhat elastic.
For example, Greg Palast says that he had an office in the North Tower of the World Trade Center. In an article he wrote on September 23, 2001, he says his office was on the 50th floor of the North Tower. More recently he said it was on the 52nd floor, yet in the 2001 article he says that his friend Greg O'Neill had an office on the 52nd floor and that his was on the 50th. Documents about the tenants of the North Tower indicate that the 50th floor of the WTC 1 was occupied by the Dai-Ichi Kangyo Trust Co. (DKB). Did Palast have an office with the Dai-Ichi Kangyo Bank?
Gladys E. Kaufman, his Hungarian Jewish mother, was the daughter of Alex Kaufman of West Armitage Avenue. Mr. Kaufman delivered milk using a horse and buggy, according to the 1984 article. In 1941, an milkman named Alex Kaufman of 3015 Hermitage Avenue was involved in a fatal accident in which a 15-year-old boy was run over by the rear wheels of his "milk truck". This may be the same Alex Kaufman.
Greg Palast's grandfather, on his father's side, was Norman Palast. There is very little written in the Chicago papers about Norman Palast. He was one of the sons of Esther Necha Palast along with Nathan, Max, and Joseph. He also had a sister named Clara (Mamet).
Nathan was apparently the oldest and was born in a Yiddish-speaking area of Russia about 1885. In 1910, the 25-year-old Nathan was a boarder with a Jewish family named Greenberg on W. 14th Place in Chicago. There is no mention of Esther's husband Leo. Nathan may have come to America first and sponsored the rest of the family to come from wherever they originated in Yiddish Russia. There is no other record of this Palast family in the Chicago census records from through 1920 although my ability to research is limited.
Nathan Palast, Greg's great uncle, went on to become a "Jewish leader" and was president of the orthodox Agudath Achim synagog on Chicago's South Shore from 1940 to 1949. This may be one of the reasons Greg Palast always wears a fedora. Nathan was made honorary life president of the synagog.
Nathan was a leader in the Israel bond drive, active in the Combined Jewish appeal, the Jewish federation, B'nai B'rith, and the Hebrew Theological college, according to a Chicago Daily Tribune article from December 14, 1958. The elder Palast was honored at an Israel Bond Dinner at the synagog he built at 7929 Yates Avenue. B'nai B'rith is the secret Jewish organization that founded the Zionist defense organization known as the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) in Chicago during World War I.
Chicago is a Zionist hotspot and Greg Palast is the son of one of Chicago's leading Zionist families. This is why he is so dedicated to diverting attention from the evidence of the Zionist involvement in 9-11. This is also why he desperately tries to excuse the Zionist role in the "war on terror" and put the blame for the disastrous war in Iraq elsewhere. This is probably why he diverts attention from the real problems with elections in the United States. He is a Zionist gate-keeper of the left.

Thanks for asking about the kids. Catherine goes fishing every day and caught 4 fishes last night for her cat dusty. He ate two and was very content. The cat therapy is doing lots of good to us. Not all health issues are addressed yet. Finding doctors and getting real help and not just prescriptions is hard everywhere. Whatever health care I have received is not free anywhere. It would be in Venezuela and Cuba.
We are spending time with very close people and that gives us certain security. Boubou [their son by his nick name] is still waking up nearly every night calling out "Dad" to make sure he is with us. What he actually saw on Aug 15 was when his dad was dragged to the police car and driven away.

(At the time of digital recorders, why is CCounty still using old fashioned methods to gain court transcripts? Just to make it cumbersome for us to get the nonsense on record). We do not have that money for transcripts - all donations have been dried out. We have not received a penny for a month or more thanks to Daryl BS and EH. I wonder whether THEY have access to our Paypal account before it reaches our account, I do not know. It's very strange.

He says that he looked into the question of whether the WTC buildings came down from a controlled demolition. He said that such a possibility is just ruled out. A controlled demolition just couldn't happen.
I am unhappy that the moderator didn't press Palast to give some more specific evidence to back up his claim.
Palast said that it takes two years to wire a building to be taken down. The implication was that there is no evidence that anyone put out such an effort.
I wanted to have someone get into this. I have read where the planes were suspected of carrying additions to their fuselage visible on some of the video evidence. These parts could have been explosives attached to the plane, or something that distinguished the actual planes from the planes we were told hit the buildings.
If there were additional explaosives on the planes then why go to the trouble of wiring the buildings? Maybe they needed to make a bigger splash of fire and debris to make the take downs more convincingly from the planes?
I have read where the security companies involved and the ownership of the buildings should be suspected in the destruction of the buildings.
Why couldn't there have been work done over a period of time to the crucial sections of the building if the work was overseen by the owners and security people themselves?
The moderator did not ask Palast if he investigated any such line of questioning.
It was unfortunately shallow and provocative.

It was Saddam who brought prosperity to Iraq by nationalizing the oil. It was Saddam who gave free and equal education to all Iraqis so that many of them would become professionals in every field - including Nuclear Science. It was Saddam who supported the Arts. He built museums and there were ballet schools, plays, symphony concerts and all sorts of artistic expressions in the country so that the Arab nation would not have to feel inferior to the West in the Arts. Many Iraqi poets, musicians, painters and writers were nurtured by Saddam. He offered government and civil employment opportunities to men and women alike with no distinction to sect or religious affiliation. Explosives were probably used in the demolition. But we know for sure that they employed a thermite-based aluminothermic reaction, because there is no other credible explanation for the massive amounts of molten iron or steel and partially evaporated steel members.
A combination of an uncontrolled fire and the structural damage might have been able to bring the building down, some engineers said. But that would not explain steel members in the debris pile that appear to have been partly evaporated in extraordinarily high temperatures, Dr. Barnett said.

Exactly, and this would have been done under cover of "fireproofing upgrades", during which tenants vacated the floors where the work was being carried out. See my page on the demolitions:
The hollow perimeter columns consisted of three-story (36 feet) long sections that were closed off at each end. And each end featured an access hatch already cut into the inner web (ostensibly to allow access to the four bolts), enabling the thermate to be pumped into the hollow interior. See bottom two images here, Fig. 3.7 at this link, or this image, or several pictures here. With the column splices staggered mid-floor, two adjacent 3-story sections for one-third of the columns could have been accessed from a single floor, and all exterior columns in the targeted impact zone could have been covered by treating every third column over three adjacent floors. Hence, this "fireproofing upgrade" or "measuring and documenting" work could have been limited to the offices of a single company if need be, such as Marsh (WTC 1) and Fuji Bank (WTC 2).
Ideally, the powder would be remotely ignited at the top end of each 3-story section shortly before the intended collapse time. If the treatment had been applied to two 36-feet sections of column, it would have been necessary for the perpetrators to carry out the relatively easy job of planting detonators in another 3 floors above. Marsh occupied 7 or 8 adjacent floors at WTC 1, and Fuji Bank had 4 floors at WTC 2 which would allow a third of columns to be treated over a 72-feet length. If they detonated from the bottom, it would increase the risk of too much molten iron collecting at the bottom and prematurely melting its way through the ¼ inch thick steel in the minutes prior to collapse, as happened with WTC 2 where Fuji Bank had only 4 floors. However, melting 72 feet of every exterior column would have been overkill, especially considering that the perpetrators would have also targeted box columns in the core, down in the basement. They probably omitted some columns and / or mostly limited themselves to 36 feet of column.
The mixture would already contain all the oxygen it needed, and, once ignited, would burn along to the other end. The temperatures reached, and energy available, would be more than ample to melt the perimeter columns. Before this occurred, however, the loss of strength would have had devastating consequences for the building - and its occupants. After global collapse, the thermite reaction would continue to produce molten elemental iron and melt structural steel in the debris pile.
If too much molten iron had collected at the bottom of a section of column and melted its way through too quickly (e.g. the NE corner at around floor 81 on WTC 2 because the demolition team did not want to install detonators on Floors 83 (IQ Financial Systems) and 84 (Euro Brokers), the yellow-orange molten iron would be observed pouring out, much to the criminals' dismay: "You were only supposed to buckle the bloody columns - not shoot the molten iron outside in full view of the cameras! Now we'll have to recruit Frank Greening, James Fetzer and a 'professor' who was in a coma for six years to do a damage limitation exercise." (Irate arch-villain.)

I appreciate the further information given here regarding the way the Towers could have been wired and how the explosives could have brought them down as evidenced by video and witness accounts.
Anyone who asks Palast about why he thinks Jones is a fruit about the Towers and controlled demolition should get into questioning the possibility of this scenario.
The question that Prof. Jones tries to limit himself to, as I understand it, is about the way the Towers were brought down. He is a scientist and he thinks his understanding of how things happen according to certain laws of science tells him that two planes and fire could not have brought down the three buildings. Perhaps Jones has the idea, as discussed above, that thermite type explosives were involved.
Palast tells us that such a controlled demolition is just "ruled out". I expect, given Palast's claim, that he would be able to address the questions raised about how the structures and materials involved in the Towers could have vaporized if there were only and merely stressed by two planes and jet fuel. Jones argues, I believe, that the strength and durability of the structures makes jet fuel an almost impossible means of bringing the WTC buildings down.
In this interview, Palast does not talk about any of these scientific questions. He just gives us his assurance that he looked into it with others. He expects us to go along with him, and these others, based on his standing amongst us as an authority and "hard hitting" reporter for "our side".
I am not inclined to go along with Palast because he asks me to without giving me any good reason. And, he hasn't.
I have to say, however, I am still skeptical that the motivation behind Palast's attempt to smash up Prof. Jones in such a sloppy way is attributed to his covert support for the cause of Zionism.
There may be other reasons why he's bad on Jones. Palast might just be a sloppy journalist. I haven't read him much, but, we could have been overlooking some basic authoritarianism in his investigations all along. This example with the WTC Towers just exposed this fact.
Maybe he's in the pocket of some business that wants to protect the reputation of the corporation/capitalist guys who controlled the buildings. They're concerned, perhaps, that the reputation of capitalism and the owners are on the line. If it was thought that they'd snuff their own employees, their cause would be damaged in unforseen ways.
The claim that Palast is just a Zionist asset is possible, I guess, but I am not persuaded by the evidence here that it's the best explanation.
I was first invlined to think that the destruction of the WTC Towers and the Pentagon and the murders involved was best understood as a crime instead of an act of war. There was a crime and afterwards we should have an investigation of who did it, how they did it, and then determine what we should do about it after those questions were answered. The fact that there was no investigation of what happened based on an examination of the evidence, as far as I could see, constituted neglegence, at least, and the more that's been made of the bombings, the more it's looked like a cover-up.
I guess, the problem is we have yet to establish what really happened. That makes it difficult to really establish who did it. Of course, a cover-up of what happened may just be to obscure who was really responsible.
I want to respect Prof. Jones's insistance that one can be concerned to establish what happened without at the same time committing oneself to any theory about who might have been behind it. This is why I want to say that speculations about Zionist plotting, or corporate thuggery is at least premature.

It is sad because I think that many of these guys are absolutely sincere in their ignorance of these all too important facts. I have a theory about intelligent professionals especially those in journalism or academia. These people cannot handle 9/11 truth, much less a global system of banking and media control. They have invested so much of their lives in this fake world, that they simply cannot handle the truth. They call people who believe otherwise crazy or "fruitcakes" not based on an evaluation of the evidence, but because that is the only way they can think, they have been so well brought up, so well trained to focus on their developed interests, and avoid with repugnance certain issues. Their intellect turns them into people who can rationalize anything so long as it does not conflict with their perception of the world, which they would never change, only refine, for their viewpoint is what they sell, and if it were to change drastically, then all of their life's work would be negated by some major truth. These people are mostly sad and pathetic and self absorbed, and they think they know how this world works, that's what they get paid for, but they lost their ability to be open and think critically when they lost their souls (or hearts), they lack courage and bravery, they are nothing but a herd of fat geldings.

I have been interested in the argument about 9-11 from 9-11. It is complicated in that there seem to be so many possibilities and issues on the table.
The thing has given justification for two and maybe more wars. We've gone and invaded countries that did nothing to us.
There are two responses to all the suffering involved here which I believe we must try to understand. One is the idea that, quite apart from the difficulties we face just from the complexity of the situation, there is a problem we have just knowing what's what or what to do. I have felt this as sort of an unspoken assumption in some of the people I work with, that is, we can't really know anything, so it doesn't matter whether we put out all the effort required to figure out 9-11, or the rest of our mess. The second idea is that, maybe because of the complexity and the suffering, and the fact we supposedly can't help ourselves, many people throw up their hands and talk about how God or Jesus must save us.

Personally, I think this line of thought is all about how Christians are mostly wedded to an idolatrous understanding of God.
I figure we have to get it into our heads that we've made the mess we're in, we cannot at the same time assume that anyone, e.g., God, aliens, some powerful scientist controlling the switches on our vats,(inside joke...) or whatever, is going to pull it all together for us.
That message may be the underlying effort by the writer in sort of a backhanded way. That is, "after we've seen the mess, isn't it bizarre to expect someone else to pick it up for us...!!?" Hope so.
