Iraq triple tanker bombs anything but suicide

At least 175 people were killed today in a triple fuel tanker suicide attack on a town in northern Iraq.

How many large fuel tankers do you think are unaccounted for in Iraq?

In one of the worst single atrocities in the four-year-old war at least another 200 people were wounded in the bombings in separate areas of the town of Kahtaniya, west of Mosul, Iraqi army Captain Mohammad al-Jaad said.

The attacks on the Yazidi community occurred about 8pm local time leaving whole apartment buildings destroyed and several shops nearby ablaze.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attacks but they bore the hallmark of al-Qaeda, which has been regrouping in the north of the country after being driven from safe havens in Anbar and Diyala provinces.

Yes. of course.

No claim of responsibility.

No proof.

Therefore, it's anyone the zionist media wants it to be.

Nevermind how unlikely it is that "insurgents" or "Al Qaeda" would gain simultaneous access to THREE LARGE FUEL TANKERS without the knowledge and consent of US occupation forces (or those who work with them).

The attack was the deadliest in Iraq since 215 people were killed in November when mortar rounds and five car bombs killed 215 people in the Shiite neighborhood of Sadr City.

Dhakil Qassim, mayor of Sinjar, a town near where the attacks occurred, said al-Qaeda in Iraq was behind the attack, citing what he said were Kurdish government intelligence reports.

Now WHO do we know works with "Kurdish intelligence" in Iraq and how would they know WHO is up to WHAT in Iraq???

The Yazidis are part of a pre-Islamic religious sect that have been the target of frequent attacks in northern Iraq.

Not only that - but these two major operations came as cover for a third -

The huge loss of life came on the same day as dozens of uniformed gunmen in 17 official vehicles stormed an Oil Ministry compound in Baghdad and abducted a deputy oil minister and four other officials.

PLUS . . .

A total of nine US military deaths were also announced after a transport helicopter crashed near an air base west of Baghdad, killing five troopers. The CH-47 Chinook helicopter had been conducting a routine post-maintenance test flight when it went down near Taqaddum air base. Four other soldiers were reported killed in separate attacks.

They must think we were born yesterday.

Northern Iraq is where the oil is.

Zionists want the oil but don't want the Iraqis.

So, they're getting rid of them and anyone else who stands in their way.

And as usual, they blame someone else for the attacks.

Some of the deadliest attacks in Iraq

Some of the deadliest attacks in Iraq since the war began in March 2003:

_ Aug. 14: Four suicide bombers hit a Yazidi community in northwest Iraq, killing at least 175 people and wounding 200 others, the Iraqi military said.

_Feb. 1, 2004: Twin suicide bombers kill 109 people in two Kurdish party offices in the northern city of Irbil.

_Aug. 29, 2003: A car bomb explodes outside a mosque in Najaf, killing more than 85 people, including Shiite leader Ayatollah Mohammed Baqir al-Hakim.

Considering then, that "suicide" is forbidden to Islamics, a WHOLE DOZEN, out of sixteen accounts, seems to be quite impressive. Might we not be able to deduce then,
on the basis of these foregoing reports, that -

75%

of 'insurgent' car bomb attacks in Iraq are attributable to

SUICIDE ?

The reported death toll , which has risen from 175 to over 250, makes this attack the highest in fatality of the entire Iraq invasion. Mysteriously, the reported number of "synchronized suicide bombings" involved has also risen from three to five.

The "Death Toll" seems to be the most important stat for the Washington Post and the MZM. As long as they can blame it on "Al Qaeda", and hype it as "the deadliest of the war", they don't give a damn if it goes through the roof. Just gimme that body count. "Prepare the Terror", Lenin once notably said...
"We must have more terror".

Apparently the "terror" is not all that may be "going through the roof", but you wouldn't know it from a casual glance.
Buried in the Post article, you will find this brief aside:

Surveying the devastation Thursday, Deputy Prime Minister Barham Salih compared it to "the site of a nuclear bomb", Reuters news agency reported. As workers used bulldozers and bare hands to recover bodies, angry Yazidis, members
of a pre-Islamic sect made up primarily of ethnic Kurds, confronted Salih, who is also Kurdish. They demanded protection from the suspected perpetrators of the attack, al-Qaeda in Iraq, a Sunni Muslim extremist group blamed
for Iraq's most spectacular suicide bombings
.

It's time again to wake up from your slumber, dear friends.
How do you manage to level an entire village to the ground with four or five "suicide bombs" ?

( small village, right ? yeah, I hear ya )

Howzabout this headline, instead :

Anything But the "Triple Tanker" Spectacular Al Qaeda Super Duper SUICIDE Bombs !

Sorry, I forgot to mention, also from the Post article :

The attack was initially reported to have been carried out by suicide bombers driving four fuel tanker trucks.

But Maj. Rodger Lemons, operations officer of the 4th Brigade Combat Team of the Army's 1st Cavalry Division, said the attackers apparently drove TWO GARBAGE TRUCKS packed with explosives to each of the two villages, Reuters reported. It said Iraqi security forces
shot and killed the driver of one truck outside Jazeera,
home to about 800 people.

Can we quote you on that, Major ?
Or would you prefer to change the tune again ?

quasimodo | Fri, 2007-08-17 01:19

...but I know who they AREN'T!! They aren't Christians, Moslems, Jews ...etc. etc. Who's left? And who profits from these acts of " TERROR " ? Can you say " Zio-Rats "?

I don't put anything past them.

They're trying out their arsenal.

This jigsaw puzzle would not be complete without another obligatory "sectarian strife" op-ed "cover story" from the self same International 'Zionist' Tribune cited above, ( local Boston Globe Edition ) which the editors thereof have predictably and expeditiously dispatched in record time. You don't even have to read between the lines on this one, it's so obvious. The part about the 17 yr. old Yazidi girl eloping with a Sunni and then "converting to Islam", thus precipitating the attack, is quite simply hilarious. A little more spice for the sauce...
