Can't Trust a Chinaman!

Here is a wacky conspiracy theory, from a shonky source (dated August 17):

"The crazy Cheney views China as a nest of ‘evil Communist vipers’ and has been pushing to wreck their economy. The Chinese were swindled by Blackstone out of hundreds of millions of dollars but when they began to hint that they would dump their dollar holdings and create economic havoc against the dollar, Cheney ordered an all-out media attack on Chinese imports."

And here is the news story doing the rounds - one of many (dated August 20):

"The safety problems affecting Chinese goods spread from toys to textiles on Monday as New Zealand said it would investigate allegations that imported children’s clothes contained dangerous levels of formaldehyde.

The government ordered the probe after scientists hired by a consumer watchdog programme discovered formaldehyde in Chinese clothes at levels of up to 900 times regarded as safe..."

Bells rang when I saw this story in my local newspaper yesterday, after having read the VOTW article a few days previous.

I certainly appears that the neo-cons are trying to damper the Chinese economy by scaring American consumers away from their products!

Looks like the war has began already, economically.

It this part of the administration's notion of total and constant war?

How can you make economic warfare on your biggest creditor without whom you would only be able to make wars limited to what you can pay for out of your current savings? That might amount to occasional incursions over the borders to Mexico and Canada!

We know that Bush does not read, and there are reasons be believe that he cannot. But there must be somebody in his administration who read their "fellow republican" Paul Craig Roberts and his many articles about US outsourcing of industrial production and recently about US' economic relations with China. They must understand that a very significant part of the Chinese industrial production is in fact US production that has moved to China for cost reasons.

Hitting import of Chinese consumer goods will be hitting Wal-Mart, its owners and customers! Does the US administration want an economic civil war at the expense of its greatest corporate, financial supporters?

It is obvious that this administration is run by unfit and mentally sick persons. The regime has to go before the next presidential election. If not the US will be gone.

I hope that the American people will take its country back, and if it does not the world community will take the USA apart and arrange for the necessary legal tribunal for its war criminal leaders.

As to "constant war" this administration can forget it! The wars and aggressions were committed on creditor goodwill. That does not exist any longer since the US has adopted the Israeli rabies style foreign policy, originally advocated by Moshe Dayan.

The difference between Israel and the US is that Israel has stupid US to constantly bail it out, but no one is stupid enough to bail the US out, the Zionist "owners of the world" included.

The Chinese aren't stupid, but they aren't exactly wise.

They have funded the war on Iraq - if they weren't loaning the products they produce to the US, the US would not be able to pay for its war.

But then, that's the wrong way to look at it also.

China only does what it's told. It is all being controlled by industrialists/capitalists/bankers.

What would happen to China if it dumped the dollar?

Seeing as their economy depends ENTIRELY on selling trinkets to fat Americans at WalMart I dont think they will be dumping anything soon...but it all makes good theater..."look over here, look over here"...

Really, Americans have it made. The rest of the world has bought their paper dollar and in return they get LOTSA goodies. When China, Japan and others come calling the U.S can simply go..."no, dont feel like paying this week"...and who will be enforcing the "contracts"? Will the Japanese mount a West Coast invasion and break off California, towing it back to Tokyo harbor till the Americans pay up? Who will enforce the contracts on the 50,000 pound gorilla called the United States?

The U.S is sitting pretty. The only fools in the world are the luckless Asiatics who think they have one over the loud mouth Yanks when in fact - who sold their soul and slave labour for a badly designed dollar bill? All it cost the yanks was a couple hundred million for some paper and ink while the world gave them all sorts of useful trinkets. Suckers.
