this is the first time I learned about what happened during the 2002 coup against Chavez.

As usual, the media played an integral role in the chaos.

“As you and the people saw today, neither the Army nor the Armed Forces fired one single shot. Our weapon was the media.”

– one of the coup's organizers

Of course, this was a blatent lie. The organizers hired snipers to shoot at unarmed protesters in order to blame it on Chavez supporters.

John Pilger did an amazing job.

I recommend everyone sees this and passes it on.

Excellent Rowen.

Perhaps I judged you wrong.

I hope.

Can you tell me where the original movie/clip is located?

Thanks,

Peacetroll.

you sure did me and perhaps others a service by posting this blog. Quite sobering and sad yet encouraging at the same time. Maybe we Americans can take our country back someday.

I wonder why the narrator didn't call out for an explanation from the former CIA fellow for his righteous and platitudinous statement of "National Security". This simple statement leaves most speechless, as it did the narrator, but the next time I hear it I am going to demand an explanation. "National Security" is more effectively wielded to stifle free speech than the term Anti-Semite.

Good job Rowan but I'm still keepin' an eye on ya'll.
