DHS Chief says Internet is a threat

Chertoff: “Radical Ideologies” Threaten Internet
by Kurt Nimmo

According to Ministry of Homeland Security don Michael Chertoff, “disaffected people living in the US may develop radical ideologies and potentially violent skills over the Internet, something that can present the next major security threat to the nation and to the world,” reports Reuters.

“We now have a capability of someone to radicalize themselves over the Internet,” he told a meeting of the International Association of the Chiefs of Police. “They can train themselves over the Internet. They never have to necessarily go to [a CIA-ISI created] training camp or speak with anybody else and that diffusion of a combination of hatred and technical skills in things like bomb-making is a dangerous combination,” Chertoff said. “Those are the kind of terrorists that we may not be able to detect with spies and satellites.”

In order to combat these supposed miscreants, the Ministry will “deploy 20 field agents this fiscal year into ‘intelligence fusion centers,’ where they [will] work with local police agencies.” So-called “fusion centers” are “collaborative efforts to combine and analyze anti-terrorism information from multiple sources” and “have becoming increasingly popular as part of homeland security,” writes Alice Lipowicz for the IT website, Washington Technology. “A number of states, including Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, Kansas, Maryland, Massachusetts and New York, currently operate so-called fusion centers, and many more states, such as Missouri...

JA, VE know where you are, so drop that mouse and come out with your hands up or VE VILL blow you to hell and gone.
Search Warrant? VE don't need no stintkin' search warrant. VE have the power and that's all that counts.

What's that? Oh, after we shred you with our sub-machine guns, VE VILL plant evidence on your person and in your residence that will make the talking heads on TV babble on about how you were a danger to society. How you were planning some sort of attack. It doesn't matter how many lies VE tell, the idiots at CNN and FOX will eat this up and in turn, feed it to other idiots thru the MSM.

JA, Henry Kissinger was right. Power is the ultimate aphrodisiac.

The internet is doubtless a threat TO the terrorists-- people like Chertoff, for instance, eh?

The biggest threat to the war mongers in power is the TRUTH.

And the Internet is a very good dispenser of the truth.
That is why you'll see more and more calls to "Protect the Children" by installing some kind of monitoring/filtering system.

Or news stories about how this or that person learned how to make things go BANG on the 'Net and that's why it needs monitoring.

Monitoring software that is controlled by the thugs in the DHS.
