Imperial-hegemony America will be "in its last throes" after the attack on Islamic Republic of Iran is finalized to commence soon.
Iran will not sit idly by after the hard fact of violent breach of the sovereignty. Because they are ferocious in feverant Persian nationalism, as proved by their hard-won victory against US-backed Saddam Hussein's attempted invasion of Iran in part due to concern of Islamic revolution spreading in the Middle East. US thought they could use Iraq as a proxy to wage war with Iran to extinguish the raging fire of Iranian revolution and let Imperial West assume control of Iran. They were dead wrong.
Iraq-Iran war cost over a million lives and the sheer brutality of the conflict left Iraq's economy in tatters, which eventually led Saddam Hussein to make the fateful decision of invading Kuwait over Kuwait's underground oil theft by siphoning under Iraq border dispute after the proclamation by US ambassador to Iraq April Glaspie U.S. is not interested in the dispute, essentially deceiving Saddam into approving the invasion plan.
U.S., perhaps concerned about Iraq's future invasion of Saudi Arabia to grab oil but more likely enthusiastic about the newfound opportunity in proving who's the boss in terms of overwhelming military strength and usage of latest military weapons and technologies -- especially Depleted Uranium (possibly the cause of Gulf War Syndrome blamed by military & media propaganda on Iraq's chemical weapons).
Saddam was an erstwhile ally of the U.S. (CIA asset) only to be abused (massive casualty toll of Iraqi forces in Iran-Iraq war) and disposed by U.S. Saddam was expendable to be used and then demonized as the "man bit the hand that fed it".
The rest is history, finished off with the execution of Saddam Hussein by hanging at the behest of Imperial West in the claim for righteous justice to prop up their credibility, whatever is left of it.
Notwithstanding the irrefutable fact Iraq never threatened America after the crushing loss of the first Gulf War and have to suffer and continue to endure the horrendous effect of lowered quality of life, starvation and maltreatment by the external forces. Former Secretary of State under Clinton administration Madeleine Albright (nee Maria Jana Korbelová) proclaims the wholesale slaughter of over 500 hundred thousand Iraqi children by oppressive sanctions is worth the price.
U.S., under the consideration according to the perception of the law of warfare and crimes against humanity, is a de facto terrorist state for having done to Korea, Vietnam, Panama, Kosovo, Afghanistan and Iraq among the countless list of countries in U.S. intervention since WWII. Iran may be next in the crosshair.

Russia and China have completed the two-week Peace Mission 2007 drill last month, two years after the first joint military exercise in 2005.
United States have completed Operation Valiant Shield in 2006 and Operation Arabian Gauntlet [military anaysis] this spring.

US's economy will collapse after oil price per barrel surge to exorbitant rate. Iraq was invaded in part to prevent Iraqi oil bourse dominated in Euro currency that might affect the value of international trade in U.S. Dollar. Iran have its own bourse yet to be installed. A side note, China threatens the "nuclear option" of liquidating U.S. Dollar reserve amounting to one trillion. Liquidating this massive sum of money may cause a severe recession in North American economy.

Yes, you read correctly. If this "escalates" even the slightest, we are looking at 10-50 MILLION DEAD, mostly Iranians. If it escalates to full-out NUCLEAR WAR, it will range on for decades, and the count will be in the BILLIONS DEAD, not millions.
The USAF and Fleet will be destroyed no doubt, as will much of the Israeli "surface land" forces.... but keep in mind the Ashkenazi Khazars have many International bases of "operation", mainly:

It was slated to open in March 2006, but Iran has postponed it. Iran knows that if it starts the bourse, Bush will attack immediately, since an oil bourse would destroy the israeli empire (otherwise known as the USA). One reason why Bush makes continual threats against Iran is to warn Iran not to start the bourse. (Saddam Hussein sealed his fate in 2000 when he demanded Euros in exchange for Iraq’s oil.)
In the meantime, U.S. petrodollar hegemony continues to erode. China already uses Euros to buy most of its oil from Iran. Iran has cut its U.S.-dollar assets to around 20% of its foreign reserves. Japan, unfortunately, is controlled by the U.S. (The Fed has bribed Japanese officials not to use Euros to buy Iranian oil.)
Hugo Chavez wants to switch from dollars, but cannot (yet) since a change would spark an immediate U.S. invasion of Venezuela.
All of these agents are waiting as the U.S. dollar gets weaker and weaker.
They are also arming, for they know they will be attacked as the israeli empire (i.e. USA) dies.
Just what the article needs to explain the operating nature of the oil bourse and why it is perceived as a financial threat to US military-economic hegemony.
I can imagine Iran is sick of American pressure and its demand for the preservation of USD in global trade.
However, USA is very, very deep in national debt amounting to 50 trillion (not the reported near-9 trillion) and trade deficit nearing record $500 billion mark.
USA have been incredibly irresponsible in reckless freespending of taxpayers' hard-earned money to increase the military and corporate strength while "mortgaging America for the phantom of tomorrow", exactly as President Eisenhower warned in the farewell address (he also addressed the danger of the military-industrial complex's corrupting influence but he almost did nothing to combat this unique post-WWII problem while holding an executive office).
Syria went ahead with eliminating some of USD reserve as a means to take US off its back. Israeli Zionists have a luscious eye on Syrian land.
A developed nation -- or even underdeveloped or half-developed -- that dare to challenge US through the elimination of USD to switch to other rivaling currency receive the undesirable consequence. This is called economic terror, pure and simple. Iraq 2003 invasion is a means of economic terror to demonstrate the example to the surrounding regions and sensible nations what would happen if one of the nations challenge petrodollar hegemony.
It would be best to eliminate petrodollar hegemony by clever ploys that covertly subvert the tight control of petrodollar imperialism, but US and Zionists have the superior smell ability of a savage naked mole.
Iran will have to deal with the consequence. I hope Russia, China and others consider changing to another viable currency in global trade to eliminate petrodollar hegemony that is the cause of all recent wars waged by the US to force the nations to shut up and continue trading in USD.
There is contemplation of instituting the Asian Union to implement the new currency. First USD, then Euro and now Asian.
There is a persistent rumor North American Union planning to introduce the Amero after the economic collapse of North America due to some unforeseeable circumstances (either accident or intended with the continuous printing of US currency at the Fed that create a gigantic credit bubble until it pops at some time in the future). Only a handful of media outlets have reported on this in fair and balanced context, especially CNBC.

This is only a part of what makes western military planners so unwilling to go ahead with Iran debacle which was planed for much longer than that of Iraq. Iranian special forces of revolutionary guard will definitely use Shiites in south of Iraq to prevent any supplies reaching US forces in and around Baghdad. Baghdad will become hell for US forces who would be willing to get out of it but will not be allowed to. They will pay the price for their commander in chief's grand treason. There will be no Geneva conventions in ME once this hell is let lose. All sides will use everything at disposal and I agree millions will die. EU will be thrown into civil unrest of inconceivable proportions. France will have enough problems to deal with dissatisfied African population and could suffer immediate loss of major cities on Mediterranean side. UK will fall apart unable to control its own citizens. Balkans unattented will explode again reshaping that part of Europe in a very unexpected manner. Turkey will have civil war and then war with Greece. Israel will not survive this carnage because it will be left with no friends around its borders. EU will be forced to engage in this wider ME war because one by one Arab regimes will fall down overtaken by their own people ushering united front on Ziostan as the last bastion of western supremacy in ME. Yep, thats the infamous Armageddon battle that will end up in Ziostan and destroy western presence in ME once and for all. It will be ugly and bloody but that is the great purification that this world and we in it have to go through in order to learn to live as human beings and respect the rights of our mother nature. War will be accompanied with horrible natural disasters which will further weaken western societies thus depriving them of resources to fight the greatest war ever fought on this planet. Poor and undeveloped nations will cope much better with this natural disasters but those spoiled by 24/7 food services, cable tv and Saturday nights will go in withdrawal agony like heroin addicts. In the meantime China will smash Taiwan and Russians will "get Alaska back in exchange for wheat supplies to US". Big island downunder will shit its pants left unattended by busy uncle Sam. lots of stuff there might be right might be wrong who knows for sure...:) and me just alien, hehe..but not illegal one...I am a man with no country but then again every country is my country...never liked lines especially border lines...people here people there..soon as you draw lines guns and missiles follow...rule of law necessary but I never liked enforcers of law...I don't know I guess I am too much of free spirit to enjoy border lines irrelevant who draws them and where...anyway I try to put myself in everyones shoes in order to understand how and why certain people think...human beings are very complicated creatures and you may say that all evil and good are clashing in their souls forever making them sort of universal theater for all kind of incidents...
