War on Iran/Syria: Life imitating art in Starship Troopers movie
A decade ago, I went to the movies to see Starship Troopers the movie.
It isn't a faithful adaptation of the famous sci-fi novel. But I remember the not-so-subtle satire of the movie with Fascism, militarism, imperialism and propaganda as themes. Director Paul Verhoeven had spent childhood as a young boy in Nazi-occupied Holland and making the Starship Troopers movie that subtly or not-so-subtly (depending on your perspective after the movie concludes) mock Americans as the modern-day Nazis was a gamble which may have contributed to him getting less work making Hollywood movies after the last known Hollywood movie released in 2000.
The movie became quite farcical in over-the-top symbolism towards the end with the characters wearing what appears to be vintage Nazi trenchcoat outfits triumphing over the surrendering "mother brain" giant insect that was later mangled like a cow having its throat cut in another scene.
I also remember feeling the shock effect of the movie that unabashedly depict the torrent of horrifying violence in an alien world -- dozens of helpless human soldiers mangled and limbs flying in the air by the angry and disturbed bug aliens whose habitat was invaded after the mass-scale attack on a major city is purportedly attributed to the alien force. I saw the movie with children in attendance. The realistic depiction of war and violence in a fantasy setting would've put them into coma.
I bring up the movie because it reminds me of the war with Iran, however absurd the comparison it may be, with the insect forces perceived as the "non-human" enemies to be conquered for the glory of military conquest. The USA and Israel perceive the Vienamese, Iranian and Iraqi in their native countries to be just another 'insignificant race' to run over to demonstrate their god-like military might.
This is why racism and jingoism have one thing in common: desensitization of the perceived enemy to mold the citizenry of the war-making nation into the sheeple that accept the violent subjugation of the foreign land as just another business while they work and shop. Questioning the motive of the war on legal and moral grounds is unpatriotic that merit rebuke and mistreatment.
For more on the mentality of ultra-nationalistic superiority by military-economic terrorism of the other side of the world, I recommend renting the Oscar-winning 1974 documentary "Hearts & Minds" at a local public library or through online service.
I interpreted “Starship Troopers” as indulgence, not satire. Director Paul Verhoeven indulged the impotent American hunger for “kick ass” victory, and used enemies that were alien, so the film would not offend anyone. "Starship Troopers" came out four years before Bush and his zio-masters engineered 9-11, and Americans had not openly bombed anyone (other than Kosovo) since Vietnam. Also if it were satire, I don’t think it would have used the late Basil Poledouris’ excellent soundtrack (music).
Verhoeven’s next movie, “Hollow Man” (2000) was such a flop that it reduced Verhoeven to directing music videos. Now Verhoeven will redeem himself with his latest movie, “Zwartboek,” which glorifies Dutch Jews during the so-called holocaust, and vilifies Germans (and by extension, all Gentiles). The leading man is a German Jew. The leading lady began sleeping with that Jew after filming was complete. At least a third of the Dutch cast is Jewish. Two thirds of its 21 producers are Jewish.
Verhoeven himself is not a Jew, but he thinks like one. Hopefully this latest piece of filth will be another flop. His next movie, “Azazel,” will vilify Czar Nicolas and the Romanovs, who opposed Jewish control of Russia.
It makes my skin crawl to see a man grovel like that, especially when he grovels before swine.
you noticed well and don't forget tactical use of nukes against the suicidal fanatical alien bugs. That was a typical mk aimed at desensitizing public mind toward accepting utilization of the so called tactical nuclear weapons. To most of US citizens Iranians are as close as alien bugs that disturb their weekend plans. They blame Iraqis and Iranians for the mess that their government created in ME while completely ignoring thousands of Iraqis lives lost for the sake of the acceptance into a citizenship of the global Zionistan. Aparantly you haven't seen the movie, or you got the wrong subtitles. There are many (maybe not enough) nuances in the story and the Germans DID raise hell in the Netherlands (as did the British and Americans). But I guess you can see in it what you want to see.
...and the Dutch raised hell in Southeast Asia (in so-called "New Batavia") and elsewhere, until the invading Japanese kicked them out. The Dutch were as brutal in their colonies (against the native peoples) as all other Europeans were in their own colonies.
What I object to is yet another movie that champions the Jews, even as the genocide against Palestinians continues.
Regarding World War II, only Jews can be victims of that war, since Jews are the Master Race, as you know. Hence you will never see a movie about the following topic…
Immediately after World War II, the Americans put millions of German prisoners of war into concentration camps with no food, shelter, or medical care. Over 1.7 million Germans were killed in these camps, even though there was plenty of food and medicine available through the Swiss Red Cross. Eisenhower (part Jewish) refused to allow any supplies to reach the dying Germans. The Red Cross objected, so Eisenhower renamed the dying men from "Prisoners of War" to “Disarmed Enemy Forces.” Today Bush gets aways with mass murder by renaming his prisoners “Illegal Combatants.”
There are many YouTube videos about Eisenhower’s death camps. Books have been written about them (e.g. Other Losses by James Bacque).
As I said, you will never see a movie about this, because ONLY JEWS CAN BE VICTIMS.

Should Zwartboek have mentioned the current Palestinian struggle then? I didn't say it was a good movie, or that the Dutch didn't commit atrocities (some 'allied forces' I did mention). Verhoeven made a lot of crap and the Dutch have a substantial historical part in the mess humanity finds itself in today. And I also don't think Jews are the master race. I do think Starship Troopers is a fine satirical movie though.
