Who put the Shock into "Shock & Awe"?
The Shock Doctrine
This short film by Alfonso Cuarón and Naomi Klein demonstrates how "free market" economists pioneered the concept of "shock" to push through whatever draconion economic policies their black hearts desired on unsuspecting populations recovering from major disasters. source
A must see.
Please, pass on to others.
Let the truth set us free.

wow! And there you have it, tortured by inhumane animals, all for the almighty sheckel.
..The torture these bastards dish out will come back to them infinity fold, when the reaper harvests their empty souls..
A couple of excerpts from Naomi Klein's new book (due out soon) which this video is based on...
"We finally cleaned up public housing in New Orleans. We couldn't do it, but God did." -- Republican Congressman Richard Baker speaking to a group of lobbyists.
"We have a clean sheet to start again, and some very big opportunities." -- Joseph Canizaro, one of New Orleans' wealthiest developers.
"Most New Orleans schools are in ruins, as are the homes of the children who have attended them. This is an opportunity." -- Milton Friedman
"Katrina accomplished in a day what Louisiana school reformers couldn't do after years of trying,” – American Enterprise School.
After Katrina, Bush followed Friedman’s personal advice and did not let the government rebuild anything. Instead, victims were given vouchers to buy supplies from private vendors at greatly inflated prices that made the vendors rich.
The privatizing (auctioning-off) of New Orleans' school system occurred with dazzling speed and precision. Within 19 months, New Orleans' public school system was completely replaced by private (profit-oriented) charter schools.
The Friedman plan is to wait for a major crisis, and then use it to sell everything to private players while victims are still reeling in shock.
Friedman said that once a crisis strikes, it is crucial to act swiftly and impose irreversible change (which favor the rich) before the peasants regain their equilibrium.
Friedman first learned this game in the mid-70s when he advised the dictator General Augusto Pinochet (installed by Kissinger via CONTELPRO). Chileans were in shock after the violence of Pinochet's coup, and were traumatized by hyperinflation. Friedman told Pinochet to quickly cut taxes for the wealthy, sell everything to the private sector, eliminate all laws that protect the people (i.e., deregulate) and slash social spending. This approach became known as a "Chicago School" revolution, since so many of Pinochet's economists studied under Friedman in Chicago.
Friedman called it economic shock treatment.
China 1989: the Tiananmen Square massacre and the arrests of tens of thousands was a shock that that freed the Communist party to reduce China to the world’s sweatshop. Since then, workers have been too terrified to resist slavery.
Margaret Thatcher used the 1982 Falklands war to crush striking miners and launch the first privatization frenzy in a western democracy. (Everything sold to the rich for pennies.)
9-11 accelerated the process in the USA. All wealth to the rich. The “global war on terror” is mostly fought by private companies paid by public money, and will continue forever.
Today, every natural or man-made disaster is quickly exploited. We have a global pattern of “disaster capitalism.”
The threat of torture makes people too afraid to resist. Hence torture is now acceptable.

Friedman (a Brooklyn Jew) rejoined Lucifer on February 16, 2006. February 16, 1914 was the day the Federal Reserve officially opened. In 1976, Friedman was given the Nobel Prize in Economics. The Economist says he was the most influential economist of the 20th Century. Alan Greenspan said he was one of the few people in history whose ideas altered civilization. In 1935 Friedman got a job in Roosevelt’s “New Deal” (which privatized national services under Jewish owners --hence its popular name of the "Jew Deal"). During World War II, Friedman realized that Americans did not like paying huge income taxes to the Jews of the Federal Reserve, so he helped design the system whereby taxes are deducted from your paychecks. After the war, he moved to the University of Chicago and shared ideas with fellow Jews who came to espouse “neo-conservatism,” with “perpetual revolution” (endless war, and endless shock treatment).
Friedman was an atheist. In his last email interview (2006) he said the greatest threat to the new disaster-based economy is "Islamofascism.”
..i think that many of these so called athiests are actually devil worshipping liars..
..who could come up with such evil plans, with NO compassion or love, except for a follower of the fallen..
..the shock will be when the scythe chops the bone..
Sections of Naomi Klein’s book are available online. Here are more excerpts, condensed and cleaned up. (She’s wordy and confusing.)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Homeland security is too important to be left to the government.” ~~ Ken Minihan, former director of the National Security Agency.
From a military perspective, the “war on terror” cannot be won. From an economic perspective, it’s endlessly profitable.
The “war on terror” was conceived from the start to be a private industry, designed for maximum profitability. Almost everything in it has handed over to the private sector. Everything from war fighting to disaster response is a for-profit venture. If there isn’t a disaster, they create one.
Just as the Internet launched the dotcom bubble, 9/11 launched the disaster-capitalism bubble, in which homeland security, privatized war for profit, and disaster reconstruction are all privatized.
Hundreds of billions of public dollars have been transferred into private hands. Private contractors have become a fourth branch of government.
Rumsfeld created the Counterintelligence Field Activity (Cifa), independent of the CIA. It outsources 70% of its budget to private contractors.
After Friedman finished with Chile, he advised Reagan to fie the air traffic controllers and deregulate the airlines. Today the air transit system is privatized and downsized, with most airport security work done by underpaid, poorly trained, non-union contractors.
When Bush stood with the firefighters and rescue workers at Ground Zero on September 14, he embraced the unionized workers he hates. It was all a show.
Between 9-11 and 2006, the Department of Homeland Security handed out $130 billion to private contractors. This is more than the GDP of Chile or the Czech Republic.
After 9-11, the suburbs ringing Washington, DC became dotted with security “start-ups” and “incubator” companies -- hastily thrown together operations where money comes in faster than furniture can be assembled.
In the 90s the goal was to develop a killer application and sell it to Microsoft or Oracle. Today the goal is to develop a new terrorist-catching technology and sell it to the DHS or the Pentagon.
The security state created new lobby firms that promise to hook up new companies with the right people on Capitol Hill. In 2001, there were two security-oriented lobby firms. Now there are about 600. “I’ve been in private equity since the early 90s, and I’ve never seen a sustained deal flow like this.” ~~Michael Steed, managing director of the homeland security firm Paladin.
Over 30 million surveillance cameras have been installed in the US. They shoot about 4 billion hours of footage a year. Thus, a new market emerged for “analytic software” that scans the tapes. Then came a new market in facial recognition software, plus another a market in digital image enhancement, plus another market in information management, plus another market in data mining, and so on.
The homeland security industry barely existed before 9/11. Now it is larger than either Hollywood or the music business. It has brought a convergence of unchecked police powers and unchecked capitalism, a merger of the shopping mall and the secret prison. This creates an economic incentive to spy and torture.
Private industry and the security state have merged. We have Yahoo assisting the Chinese government in finding dissidents, and AT&T helping the National Security Agency wiretap its customers without a warrant.
Everyone in the middle and lower classes is on some database as a “potential terrorist.” Anyone can be blocked from flying, or arrested as an “enemy combatant,” and held without charge forever. Hallibuton builds Guantánamo and other detention centers. Freelance torturers can only keep their jobs by extracting information, regardless of its reliability.
During the invasion of Afghanistan, US intelligence agents paid up to $25,000 for al-Qaida or Taliban fighters. Everyone to point his finger at everyone else in Afghanistan. Guantanamo filled up goat herders, cab drivers, cooks and shopkeepers who are never charged with any crime.
Jeppesen International Trip Planning -- a Boeing subsidiary in San Jose CA -- acts as the “CIA’s travel agent.” It blocks out flight plans for 1,300 rendition flights per year, arranges ground crews, and books hotels for torturers.
