The Scarlet Letter of Politics

Today in America, you can express whatever political opinion you can dream of and by and large still be eligible for government, with ONE notable exception - it doesn't matter how suitable you are for a position, if you dare to exhibit even the slightest distaste for israel's belligerent and apartheid occupation of Palestine or its genocidal attacks on its neighbors, you are singled out and isolated and no longer fit to govern.

Like the letter worn by the subject in Nathanial Hawthorne's classic novel, Anti-zionists are immediately removed from all positions of power and branded for life with a scarlet letter that burns so fiercely that it turns the most distinguished citizen into an instant leper.

RICHMOND, Va. — A member of the state's Commission on Immigration resigned Thursday, a few hours after Gov. Timothy M. Kaine was told about online videos showing the appointee condemning Israel and advocating "the jihad way."

Kaine learned of the videos from a caller to his live monthly radio program and accepted the resignation of Dr. Esam S. Omeish about three hours later.

"Dr. Omeish is a respected physician and community leader, yet I have been made aware of certain statements he has made which concern me," Kaine said in a news release announcing the resignation.

Omeish said in an interview that he resigned because he did not want what he called a misinterpretation of his words to hamper work done by the 20-member commission, appointed to study the effects of immigration and federal immigration policies on Virginia.

Omeish, who is president of the Muslim American Society and chief of the division of general surgery at Inova Alexandria Hospital, is shown in a video on YouTube denouncing an invasion of Lebanon by the "Israeli war machine" during an Aug. 12, 2006, rally in Washington.

He also accuses Israel of genocide and massacres against Palestinians and says on the video that the "Israeli agenda" controls Congress.

In other words, he committed the unpardonable sin of telling it like it is and therefore must be punished.

In a separate, undated video, Omeish tells a crowd of Washington-area Muslims, "... You have learned the way, that you have known that the jihad way is the way to liberate your land." The video was credited to Investigative Project, a Washington-based organization that investigates radical Islamic organizations.

Omeish said late Thursday that his comments were taken out of context and that his reference to "the jihad way" was not a call for violent attacks.

"In Islam, jihad is a broad word that means constant struggle — struggling spiritually, emotionally, intellectually, physically — in all respects. So my words were in support of people who are resisting occupation and people who are trying to ... remove oppression from their land," Omeish said.

The word, he said, took on a sinister tone in the United States after the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.

With the help of America's zionist propaganda machine, of course - nothing can be accomplished without them.

“In Islam, jihad is a broad word that means constant struggle.”

QRS, is that correct? I thought “jihad” referred to any collective effort dedicated to Allah, whether or not there is struggle.

For example, there is Hezbollah’s “construction jihad.”

People can form a “jihad” to build a hospital, or grow crops, or do anything.

Anyway, regarding the “scarlet letter,” there was a time when one could get mileage by using terms like “racist” or “sexist” or “homophobe.” Usually this was done in “pre-emptive strike” fashion. You call someone a “racist,” and when the person denies it, it “proves” he is a racist (or sexist or whatever).

Over time, the absurdity of such charges robbed them of power, until now they are almost meaningless.

By contrast, the term “anti-Semite” is still a nuclear weapon, no matter how absurd it is. Jews even call Jews “anti-Semitic.” It’s surreal. American Gentiles are terrified of it.

American Gentiles hope that if they keep their mouths shut, the monster will eat someone else. They hunker down in their little holes. When the monster comes for them, the other slaves sigh with relief that the monster got someone else.

This is a textbook case of that old saying, “First they came for the Communists, and I did not speak out because I was not a Communist…”

Right now they're mostly coming for people from a Muslim or Arabic background (or so it seems to me). They make examples of what will happen if anyone resists zionist evil. When the war with Iran starts, they'll come for everyone.

As always, the creeps can do nothing directly to people like Dr. Omeish. Instead, they threaten cowardly superiors -- in this case the Virginia governor.

This is the zionist way. It is the Satanic way. They can do nothing by themselves. They must get some cowardly idiot to do their dirty work. Even a nation full of Jews could not assassinate Jesus. They had to use the Romans. Like Satan, the creeps have no power except what people freely give to them.

It would be nice if just once, someone in political office could stand up to them. But I guess you can’t get into office unless you’re a crook, and the ADL records everything about your entire career. They have direct access to your police records, even your juvenile records. And since they own the media, they can plaster dirt all over the place.

People in foreign countries sometimes wonder why Americans, Canadians, Britons, and Australians let zionists walk on them. I doubt that foreigners have the slightest grasp of how much the zionists own EVERYTHING here.

Yes, Jihad is any effort, collective or personal, in the service of God.

However, that's not inconsistent with "struggle" as nothing in this world is achieved without a struggle, i.e., perserverance when faced with obstacles, resistance, challenges, etc.
