Mainstream media boots Mike Gravel off the next Presidential Debate
Send NBC the email [ Nightly(at)NBC.com ; viewerservices(at)msnbc.com ], snail mail [ NBC News 30 Rockefeller Plaza New York, N.Y. 10112 ] and phone call [ cannot locate phone # yet ] what you think of their decision to kick out Mike Gravel (the honorable former Senator who fought to end the draft during Vietnam War and spoke the large portion of The Pentagon Papers into the permanent Congressional record) off the October 30 Democratic presidential debate.
In other words, the absence of Mike Gravel will be felt and his enlightening, brutally honest stand will be sorely missed, making the whole debates in the future tedious and leaden with the same old bullshit fantasies peddling as campaign vows only to be broken later and further damage the U.S.'s welfare and national security with senseless foreign policy and disastrous economic policy while national debt & trade deficit continue to rise unabated. The lone exception may be Dennis Kucinich, but he probably isn't as courageous enough to take the other corrupt Democratic presidential candidates (Hillary Clinton and others sworn their oath to the preservation of the Elite and serve Zionist agenda) to task for their duplicity and disloyalty as Mike did in the past debates despite the appallingly short amount of time allotted to Mike's platform.
Gravel Out of Next Democratic Debate
By BETH FOUHY, AP, Oct 19
WASHINGTON (AP) - Mike Gravel will not be part of the next Democratic presidential debate, Oct. 30 in Philadelphia.
The former Alaska senator did not meet fundraising and polling requirements for the forum, said NBC News political director Chuck Todd.
The two-hour debate, sponsored by NBC News and the Democratic National Committee, will be telecast on MSNBC. Brian Williams will moderate.
All the other Democratic candidates are expecting to participate, including Sens. Hillary Rodham Clinton, Barack Obama, Joe Biden and Chris Dodd; former Sen. John Edwards; New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson, and Ohio Rep. Dennis Kucinich.
Gravel has been a lively presence in past debates despite having no campaign staff to speak of and virtually no money. He has raised about $287,000 overall and had $17,000 on hand at the end of the quarter that ended Sept. 30.
By contrast, Clinton has about $35 million on hand for the primary season, and Obama has over $32 million.
A fierce critic of the Iraq war, Gravel has challenged other candidates to step up their efforts to end the conflict.
He told Clinton at the last debate he was ashamed of her for voting for a Senate resolution declaring the Iranian Revolutionary Guard a terrorist organization. Earlier this year in a discussion about using nuclear weapons against Iran, he confronted Obama.
"Tell me Barack, who do you want to nuke?" Gravel said.
"I'm not planning on nuking anybody right now, Mike," Obama replied.

WHY on earth should how much money he can raise be the determining factor for whether he should be allowed to speak?
Are they trying to 'win' the elections by popular vote or are they trying to 'buy' it?
BTW - unorthodox is an understatement - I don't understand the ad.
---------------------------------------
"Money" has no value - people do.
does anyone have the video of him asking hitlery why she voted for the resolution in the senate and her response? I remember she did this demonic insidious cackling laugh she does but i never saw the 'actual response' if indeed there was one..
anybody?

The message of that video is
No matter ho insignificant you feel - MAKE SOME WAVES!
Hilary will live to regret that last little laugh at Gravel - It"s already being turned into a backdrop for a powerful rap I'm writing.
Land of the rich and quick buck have always voted in those who had money and money will be given only to those the rich elite want to be on top. So Qrs yes they are not trying to by the vote for they have been buying it all along. Its sad reality of American mentality. Mike Gravel can be an angel but that will not get him voted into the White House. Why? Because he is more interested in securing decent life for the poor and working class that bear most of tax brunt that is used for mass killings and oppression not just of foreigners but of US citizens as well. How people don't get it is beyond me. I see Americans like some kind of mad cow disease infected or zombie nation. Those who are well of don't realize that when their poor neighbors home is caught on fire it will spread if they do not get out and help them out to put it down.
Mass media and educational corruption have alienated people from each other to such degree that they don't care what is happening to their fellow citizens down the street let alone to some foreigners overseas that are being systematically exterminated so that they could have their "American Dream". Awakening will be indeed painful to many but then it would be too late for repentance and repatriation of the oppressed.
"Let there be Light!"
The lone exception may be Dennis Kucinich, but he
probablydefinitely isn't as courageous enough to take the other corrupt Democratic presidential candidates to task for their duplicity and disloyalty as Mike did in the past debates despite the appallingly short amount of time allotted to Mike's platform.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Yes, when Gravel speaks truth, it encourages other participants (like Kucinich) to speak more truthfully.
With Gravel absent, no one will care to even watch the debate. What's the point of watching?
I will not bother to watch the future debates with Democratic candidates upon confirmation Gravel will not make any more appearance.
Same goes for GOP prez debates if they remove Ron Paul for pure political reason, which guarantees the loss of the presidential election to a Democrat, possibly Hillary Clinton.
I shudder at the thought of that four-letter word opportunist's election -- Neocon-Zionist influenced foreign policy pave way to the worst consequences for USA and the world.
