19 tons of explosives found in Iraq

Now, who do you suppose has the resources and security clearance to move that volume of explosives around occupied Iraq?

U.S. forces in Iraq discovered nearly 19 tons of explosives in a weapons cache north of Baghdad this week, one of the biggest finds of its kind, the U.S. military said on Saturday.

The cache was discovered west of Tarmiya, some 30 km (19 miles) northwest of the capital Baghdad, in Salahuddin province where Sunni Arab militants have a strong presence.

The find was made up of 41,000 lbs of ammonium nitrate and 35 mortar bombs. U.S. forces destroyed the cache.

"It's a crippling blow against the enemy, it's really huge," said Peggy Kageleiry, a spokeswoman for U.S. forces in northern Iraq.

Car and truck bombs are used on almost a daily basis by militants in Iraqis targeting U.S. and Iraqi security forces and civilians.

In the deadliest attack this year, 520 people were killed in August when two suicide bombers drove two garbage trucks packed with explosives into two villages in northwestern Iraq.

Good thing U.S. forces destroyed the cache of explosives before any independent observer could examine it. Or even confirm anything was discovered.

The U.S. army would not permit journalists to see the incredible discovery because of safety reasons. < /sarcasm >

IF, in fact, that much ammonium nitrate was found, you can pretty much bet it was left over from the bombing of the OKC Federal Bldg., probably stored in that second Ryder truck whose picture was all over the internet, parked inside a military base near OKC.

Same goes for the shells.

This government - every part of it - has lied so blatantly and so often that I would not take their word for it that it was raining unless I could walk outside and get soaking wet.

This story stinks; they have taken us for fools for so long that they aren't even using much imagination when concocting their lies for our consumption.

The sad thing is, some Americans are still buying this crap.

The find was made up of 41,000 lbs of ammonium nitrate.....Ammonium nitrate is fertilizer it isn't an explosive unless it is mixed with kerosene or diesel fuel. So what we have done is deprived some farmers of their fertilizer!
