Do candidates pay CASH to debate on National TV?
It's common knowledge that candidates pay for advertising.
But, do they also PAY to get "invited" to debate???
Me thinks so.
That would explain why these bastards won't "invite" Gravel.
Every election, candidates collect money from the people and hand it over to the media, by the bucketload.
The media gets rich, and the people get screwed.
America has nothing to do with democracy for the people.
It's a democracy for cold hard cash - majority wins.

Email letter to NBC Media Corporation on including Mike Gravel in Oct 30 debate
Huffington Post October 22nd blog post by Mike Gravel - Why NBC and the DNC Want Me Out of the Debates

The following is the letter I composed to defend Mike Gravel...
Dear Mr. Todd (chuck.todd [at] nbcuni.com), political director at NBC News,
I ask that you reconsider the decision to exclude Mr. Gravel in October 30th Democratic Presidential candidate debate.
Mr. Gravel does not accept money from corrupted sources as Hillary Clinton is said to have done so, considering the questionable practices of Hsu and Chinatown.
Mr. Gravel brings more entertainment to the debate. Without Mr. Gravel's informed presence, the debate is otherwise leaden and staid that makes it difficult to anticipate the energetic nature of the debate on television.
I ask that NBC and its parent company General Electric treat Mr. Gravel with fair presentation in providing the platform in the debate with the other numerous Democratic candidates for President. Mr. Gravel have served the American public by his proven record in the Senate as the representative of Alaska.
The excuse to exclude Mr. Gravel from the debate on the ground of lack of money, let alone poll recognization is irrelevant. This is not how the media work in light of the conflict of interest that call credence to media ethics in preferred treatment. Please consider this and have a change of heart to allow Mr. Gravel his platform in the debate.
Mr. Gravel have served the American public in the past and he deserves to have his voice heard in the debate because he is running for President and because he cares about the state of America's welfare.
Thank you for your time.
