Gandhi's non violent resistance for Iraqis?

On some forums I read that the Iraqis should just go for non violent resistance instead of "terrorism". Like Gandhi.

Of course this wouldn't work. But I wondered why people say it worked against the Brits.

The British colonists where one of the most brutal regime in the world at that time. Annihilating native-Americans and putting even white Boers (their "own kind") in concentration camps.

I assume that Gandhi's resistance did play an important role in getting rid of the Brits, however I feel there is more to the story than that.
I guess some armed resistance played a role as well.

However I am just guessing and it would be nice if someone posted some good info/links on this, since I don't really have any.

Non-violence can work in a situation where the powerful side needs to maintain an image of being legitimate, fair and just.

For example, we know that the US is really a fascist zionist dictatorship - but the zionists cannot afford to make this too obvious - as yet. Otherwise how will they be able to give lectures on democracy to other people? That's why websites like WUFYS are allowed to function. So for now, non-violence will work in the US.

In Iraq, the situation is not the same. But the perception of having the MORAL HIGH GROUND and LEGITIMACY plays an important role even in Iraq. So a non-violent exposure of the moral bankruptcy of the occupation can still work. Having a righteous cause is important, but astute management of the media helps.

-kk Thanks for the comment your right, but I was wondering more about the history of the Indian resistance against the Brits.

saif_katana your post is rather superficial since it fails to draw the connections between the Bank of England, the Rothschilds, Cecil Rhodes and the enormous mineral wealth underneath the Boers (farmers) land. This is a pivotal moment in history since it created the mineral wealth for the Rothschilds and the followers of C. Rhodes. I would love to know something about Ghandi apart from the usual information. Ghandi was definitely an attack on the ruling class of India. I would love to see some info. Thought provoking post.
