Very Interesting comment on the B 52 nuclear "incident"
This readers' explanation of the events surrounding the B-52 nuclear "incident" seem more logical than anything else I've read...
"This [was] a pissing contest between the Vice president and the Joint Chiefs and the Joint Chiefs won."

Dear PCapostate:
I enjoy your blog. I enclose an article I have written about the Minot AFB B-52 incident.
I find research into this area as important as it illustrates where our government is today. One cannot take over a country without the military. One cannot get cooperation from the military without agreement of the "officer class." Any study of world history will confirm this. Many of us are concerned that there will be no 2012 election. I say that as long as elements United States armed forces still adhere to their commission's admonition to uphold the constitution we have hope.
The B-52 incident and the dozens of men who have researched it has illustrated the struggle at the highest levels of our government. PC apostate, I am of the opinion that other than 52,000,000 gun owners, the only thing that stands between us and slavery are our armed forces and, more importantly, the senior officers. General Peter Pace was the Commandant of the Marine Corps. He was not nominated for a second term as head of the Joint Chiefs because he would not cow to those who would use our military against US citizens. Be advised that the officer corps is well aware of the situation at the highest levels of our government.
Below is an analysis of the “B-52 incident.” This event was explained by the government as a mix up involving the transport of six ‘live” nuclear tipped cruise missiles from Minot AFB to Barksdale AFB. Be advised that the government story has nothing to with reality. An explanation of what the administration wants you to believe was published in the Washington Post recently. Be reminded that the Washington Post published 26 editorials in support of the invasion of Iraq.
[Article below]
On September 10th of this year two United States Air Force officers, who asked not to be identified, contacted the Military Times, which is a division of The Gannett Company, with the "story."
Any military officer notifying the public media concerning the transport of nuclear weapons would be subject to court martial. It is against every national security regulation there is. It is simply not done.
The officer in charge of vetting articles for the Military Times also committed treason for releasing a story with national security implications. It is simply not done. Neither of these two men felt their careers were in danger by taking this action...why? They were ORDERED to do so.
The Gannett Company released the story on the newswire shortly thereafter. "Tradition" would indicate that the editor at Gannett would give a "courtesy call" to the officer who had vetted the release to make sure putting it on the wire is AOK. Not to be forgotten, the publisher of USA Today was also notified and he cleared it. This is not a tag sale notice, this is as big as it gets.
This was not a news story picked up by a media reporter, this was a release by the armed services to the public. This was a worldwide announcement of, had it really been a mistake, a "private family matter."
The crux of the issue is this. Somebody on the ground at Minot AFB notified somebody on the ground at Barksdale AFB that live nukes were enroute. I don't know who and it doesn't matter. Once the flight officer at Barksdale was aware of the situation he made a call in order to best cover his ass. That B-52 cannot be on the ground without a Marine security detail and global tracking devices on the cruise missiles meant that central command knew exactly where they were. He had to make a lot of decisions and was not authorized to make any of them. Being a full colonel, the only call he would make would be to a two or three star, perhaps, at Central Command/Pentagon. The climax of the event is the B-52 was grounded and the story was released to The Gannett Company.
We all want to know who ordered the cruise missiles mounted in launch position on their combat platform and sent across the US in defiance of national security regulations and a host of international nuclear treaties. I agree that this is important. I must only say that it could not have occurred without the knowledge of the vice president. He is the "man" responsible for this defense related activity for the executive branch. Numerous "executive orders" have been passed in the last six years that have transferred a great deal of power over military affairs to the office of the Vice President.
I want to know who ordered the story released to the public. That is the man who deserves a medal.
We have witnessed mutiny at the highest levels of the greatest military in the world. Not only did a senior general of the Air Force clear the release of a story of a major national security event to the AP wire..he knew he would get away with it. This is a pissing contest between the Vice president and the Joint Chiefs and the Joint Chiefs won.
I must speculate, that a member of the joint Chiefs of Staff ordered the release of this story. Only a man at this level could survive this and he was not alone.
In closing, do not overlook The Gannett Company. I am an eighth generation American and aware of certain things about families and affiliations and the military and the media. The Gannett Company is the largest newspaper publisher in the world and their headquarters is located in the hub of the United States Military, McLean, Virginia....this was indeed, a family affair.
My best to you,
T.S. [To the author, if you want me to use your name, let me know]
PS. Ron Paul for President

indeed.
would like to hear more from this guy.
thanks for posting this, Cherifa.

"Money" has no value - people do.
Funny, nuclear cruise missiles are being used for pissing contest in country that hosts Statue of Liberty. No wonder Russians reinstated their long range bombers flights again. If this is true JCS should arrest Chenney for treason and sabotage of the US nuclear arsenal. I know of perfect place for VP, its close to Cuba. :)
"Let there be Light!"
I'll take the basis of this story as fact over the BS printed by WAPO last week.
An interesting sidenote to this "mutiny" is that the B-52 and its nukes were on the ground at Barksdale for over 10 hours before someone noticed the B-52.
Rubbish. My guess is that during that 10 hour span, officers loyal to the US and its Constitution staged a mutiny and refused to let the B-52 fly.
But it's not over yet. Dick Cheney is working feverishly to get the US into a hot war with Iran and will stop at nothing.
Until the at large war criminals Bush, Cheney, Rice, Hadley, et al. are arrested, tried and convicted for their war crimes, the entire world is at risk of being engulfed in a world war.
Cuba is a nation that has imported mostly, doctors, engineers and other social technicians to aid its sister states around world. Cuba for example was crucial in defending in helping the front line states defend themselves from Afrikaaner tyranny. Most of us are aware of the Grenada debacle, where US forces landed and proceeded to kill a bunch of Cuban engineers who were helping build an airport in that little island -- on and upon into the annals of my dictator my resources.
Therefore, it is not threats or even perceived threats that drive the foreign policy machine. Cuba has been under a US imposed embargo for 50 years and no informed person can classify Cuba as a veritable danger to the US. The island nation hasn't exported terrorism -- but was accused of extending the precursor to terror -- revolution.
As in the case with Iran -- Iran poses no trepidations for the US or, its neighbors. Yet, she has been maligned and threatened with dire consequences because she refuses to toe the line. Heave, ho, there she blow, oops gushes.
For 47 years, the Cuban people have been suffering under the imposition of the blockade which was part of the aggressive policy adopted against Cuba by the United State's Government through acts of sabotage, fostering terrorist actions in Cuba, even at the Bay of Pigs invasion that was defeated by the Cuban people. Ambassador Salsamendi noted that such hostile policy has been further strengthened by the present US administration as a top priority issue on President Bush's agenda.
Bush and company have no moral authority, nor the legal mandate, to impose changes of legal and political systems that other peoples of the world have chosen for their nations. Although, US policy of "regime change" has been sent asunder for more than 200 years, it remains an affront on the concept of international law and such "barb" against good will among states.
Go against the Pax oops, "International Community" and get the "ax"

I am under the impression that the military in this country is a wholly owned subsidiary of the public. That is, they are supposed to work for us.
This presents the country with many problems.
The country now is run by people who seem capable of ordering, organizing, carrying off, and covering up actions against their own population. I suspect that the 9-11 murders were their handiwork.
If the group responsible for the 9-11 has been able to get away with that crime so far, I'd say they might have the wherewithall to muscle the joint chiefs to the ground also.
I am also suspicious about just how much of the military is in on this project. The military stand-down on 9-11 had to involve some part of the domestic military.
What are we to do about this conflict? I think we cannot do a thing but try to expose the problems that the Bush people pose for the country. Treat their criminality as a problem for the civilian government, not as an issue that we'd want the military to fix.
The Chavez government in Venezuaela was toppled for a day or two, but was reinstituted because the Venezuelan people demonstrated that the country wanted to keep the government they had. The military for whatever reason thereafter resisted the coup attempt. We can only hope that the United States military would support the constitutionally supported government despite the efforts of the Bush people.
I want to commend anyone who keeps us out of a war planned by crooks and traitors bound by their own agendas.
The critical event in the cover up of 911 was the Anthrax attacks. By demonstrating that they had weaponized Anthrax spores and were willing to use them on a limited controlled basis within America, the zio-perps were able to back off any real investigation into the catalyzing event they initiated.
Realize this - a baggie of weaponized Anthrax spores, distributed into cash machines, food distribution pipelines, mail systems, and transport channels would reduce America to the dark ages within a month. That is how the neocons have held off Justice.
