Venezuela's Jews are afraid and should get help immigrating to Israel, a senior Knesset member said.
Take his word for it, after all he's an objective observer - he has NO interest whatsoever in seeing these Jews migrate to israel - no, sir. . .
Effi Eitam of the right-wing National Religious Party returned from a low-profile visit to Venezuela over the weekend with an ominous report about the Latin American country's 12,000 Jews.
"They're asking for help," he told the daily Ma'ariv on Sunday. "They know they are living on borrowed time there but are afraid of showing signs of panic."
Nevermind that the reason they "show no signs of panic" is not because they're afraid, but simply because they're happy with their lives in Venezuela, where they probably live very comfortable lives.
But, why bother with facts? - this is about israel's incessant drive to instill fear in the heart of world Jewry to further their zionist agenda...
Ties have been strained between Jerusalem and Caracas under President Hugo Chavez, who is openly hostile to the United States and friendly with Iran. Chavez has further distressed Venezuelan Jews with comments widely construed as anti-Semitic.Eitam said he would ask the Israeli government to make arrangements to bring in Venezuelan Jews en masse, adding that community members with whom he had spoken voiced interest in an aliyah free of red tape. Israel's ambassador to Venezuela, Shlomo Cohen, is largely shunned by the Chavez government, according to Ma'ariv.
"The fear is that Chavez will exploit the opportunity if a conflict erupts between Israel and Iran or between Iran and the West, and he will either nationalize the Jewish property in his country or take other measures," Eitam said.
Why would Chavez use (or even need) a conflict between Iran and "the West" or Iran and israel as a pretext to nationalize Jewish property in Venezuela?

If Chavez nationalizes their property, it's either because they acquired it illegitimately or because they are doing NOTHING whatsoever productive with their property while impoverished Venezuelans starve.
"The Jews there are confused and frightened and very much want Israeli help to organize. Some have already evacuated their family members to other places, such as Miami or Panama. Every family has an emergency evacuation plan.”
Apparently, "Miami or Panama" is their destination of choice - NOT israel.

I’ve been waiting for the Jews to start charging Chavez and Venezuela with being “anti-Semitic,” and I’m surprised it took this long. Venezuela has the fourth largest Jewish community in Latin America (after Argentina, Brazil, and Mexico in that order).
Much of Latin American is Jewish controlled. There are only about 1,200 Jews in Guatemala, but they control everything. Guatemala’s president is Jewish, as is almost everyone in Guatemala’s government.
