Back to your post. I think that what is happening in Pakistan is really serious and is not so "under-control" as some parties may claim. I just posted 2 articles about the issue too that you may want to read. Somehow I imagine that entering Pakistan will be another Iraq adventure... only there are 160 million Pakistanis...
This Pakistani issue has just come out of no where.. I even thought that it was being magnified to draw attention away from plans from Iran, Syria and Lebanon now...
Honestly Claymore... this is becomeing so messy... and is stretching a little far. This week the US has Bright Star military manoevers with Egypt and a few other countries, but the US on came with half the amount of soldiers it usually comes up with "due to shortage"..
And now we here Pakistan on the top of everything else???
I don't follow the logics here. First I don't understand what "under us control" means. If it means the facilities' security regime, well us doesn't have 'control' of 90% of its own nuclear facilities, our beloved criminals do. Besides, security regime works against individual infiltrations and probably very small commando raids. If the government falls in the "wrong hands", then security regime is no match for an entire army of the new government.
And who are the "wrong hands" anyway? The gun toting tribal rebels? or the civilian opposition? US is nowhere near being against either of them. If us was in control of anything, they could have watched AQ Khan not sell his knowledge for a better house to live in.
Unfortunately these days, the first question that comes to mind when you see news items like this, is not the importance of it, but 'why are they putting this news out now?'

You got that right. And I believe the martial law scenario being conducted in their country is merely a 'pilot', if you will. they plan to institute this same plan in the U.S. in the near future.
