I don’t think the video is disinformation. Oil must run out eventually, and the video says the potential crisis is too big for mankind to face. Most people imagine there will always be enough food, plus some magic formula to replace oil. They dismiss talk of eventual depletion as “disinformation.”

No one agrees on how much oil remains. Figures for “reserves” are constantly changed. However, oil it must eventually run out (unless the theories about abiotic oil production prove correct).

Most of the world’s societies have been built on cheap abundant oil. We have become “hydrocarbon man.” Petrochemical-based fertilizers allowed a population explosion. What will happen when the oil runs out? Today’s cities depend on trucked-in food. Suburbia requires people to drive 20+ miles to and from work every day.

Eventually there may be new wars for the control of water and food. Only the ultra rich will be able to drive a car, or fly in an airplane.

There have been famines before, despite the presence of technology.

Human greed trumps all.

I never bought the dinosaur juice petroleum theory. Abiotic oil makes good sense, especially now that we have seen Hydrogen Sulfide base life forms out of the solar food chain. But we need to conserve oil no matter what it's source. What if we are carelessly depleting the deadly (to us) Hydrogen Sulfide that the oil producing organisms depend on?

AZ, my rule of thumb is "if it's an important story, the MSM is lying" Peak oil certainly is big ergo it's bullshit. Mike "No Explosives, No Israeli-involvement" Ruppert was Mr. Peak Oil until his audience well ran dry.

I agree that we should be conserving oil and not idiotically wasting and polluting with it, but scarcity is more likely an artifice to jack the price and bludgeon the sleeping people with IMHO.
