Russia draws India into the fold

Slowly but surely, Putin solidifies regional alliances and broadens his base, setting the stage for the final battle.

The US and israel may have Iraq, Iran and Afghanistan in their crosshairs, but the real struggle is between the US and israel (with the coalition of the hammered) on one hand, versus Russia and whoever remains too powerful to subdue on the other.

Widening civil nuclear cooperation with India, Russia have agreed to build four new atomic reactors in Tamil Nadu and more at yet-to-be-identified new sites under landmark agreements reached on the first day of President Vladimir Putin's visit here.

After talks between Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Putin, the two sides agreed to take their relations to "new heights" in all other areas particularly defence, trade, space and science and technology.

Two joint statements were issued and eight accords signed by the two sides, including one on cooperation on sharing of data from Russia's Global Navigation Satellite System (GLONASS) and jointly launch a 'YOUTHSAT'.

"India and Russia express their willingness to further expand and strengthen their bilateral civilian nuclear energy cooperation by broadbasing cooperation covering both power (fission and fusion energy) and non-power application in areas of mutual interest to be identified by both sides," a joint statement said.

Russia also assured to work with other countries of Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG) to "create conditions through amendments to its guidelines to facilitate expansion of civilian nuclear energy cooperation with India."

"We look forward to long-term partnership with Russia" in energy sector, Singh said at a joint press conference with Putin.

Emphasising that India is seeking to build up on its "warm and friendly relations" with Russia, the Prime Minister said "we seek a comprehensive re-engagement that would impart a new momentum and carry our strategic partnership to new heights."

Hailing Putin as a "special friend of India", Singh said though there has been a sea change in international situation during the last decade, Russia "remains indispensable to the core of India's foreign policy interests."

Noting that the two countries had agreed on "new concrete steps" to deepen their relations, Putin said Russia intends to continue cooperation in the peaceful uses of atomic energy, strengthen strategic partnership and further develop defence relationship.

A Memorandum of Intent was signed between the two sides on development of cooperation in the construction of additional four nuclear power plant at Kudankulam site as well as the construction of Russian-design nuclear power plants at new sites in India.

The two sides affirmed to work together to expand civil nuclear energy cooperation with special emphasis on nuclear power generation aimed at enabling India to realise its goals of promoting nuclear power and achieving energy security in a self-sustaining manner.

Under the understanding, India undertook that the reactor facilities and nuclear fuel supplied by Russia shall remain under the IAEA safeguards during the entire period of their actual use in accordance with the agreement on safeguards, which shall be concluded between New Delhi and the international nuclear watchdog. The two sides noted with satisfaction in-principle decision to jointly develop a new multi-role transport plane.

Singh said the decision to jointly develop the plane and India's interest in such cooperation in the development of 5th generation fighter aircraft are "significant developments".

The two sides pointed out that their relations in the field of defence has steadily progressed from a buyer-seller format to also include joint research and development, manufacturing and marketing.

The collaboration for manufacture of Brahmos missile has expanded scope, leading the way for more such projects.

The two countries have decided to boost cooperation in high technology sector, including space, science and technolgy and information and communication.

Replying to questions, both Singh and Putin advocated the need for keeping outer space free of weapons.

Strongly condemning terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, they opposed "double standards" and agreed to continue "comprehensive long-term international cooperation" to combat the scourge.

Renewing its support, Russia said India was a "deserving and strong" candidate for permanent membership in an expanded UN Security Council.

Voicing concern at the deterioration of situation in Afghanistan and the growing terrorist threat posed by the Taliban and other extremist forces, the two sides said it will continue to participate in the post-war recovery in that country.

Make no mistake, the reference to 'double standards,' 'scourge,' and 'other extremist forces' are aimed at US.

If Americans don't do something fast to impeach the zionist madmen (redundant?) at the helm of our nation, they will drag US headlong into a war from which we won't emerge.

Thanks to belligerent US-Canada-UK-Israel attitude in jointly hegemonic foreign policy, Russia, China, Iran, India and other republics (members of Shanghai Cooperation Organization) have joined with hand topping another hand topping another to show their solidarity in unity against the grave reality of the new global threat -- the Imperial-Zionist warfare propelled by the proxy of the horseshit "War on Terror" mantra as instigated by PNAC, JINSA, AEI and the joint U.S.-Israel military-industrial complex seeking to covet the geostrategic resources to exploit for pure greed and exert absolute power.

US's hysterical reaction to China's demolition of their own dated satellite using a weapon deployed into space show US's supreme arrogance in its quest to dominate the space for their nefarious ultimate plan -- global domination by way of New World Order.

The arrogant Zionist imperialists deserve having their bare buttocks belted hard to teach them the lesson not to intervene in the foreign affairs that assert sovereign rights for unjust & illogical reason (besides envy & avarice).

My blog Last Throes of US Empire

Make no mistake: India is a powerhouse, and the USA, Russia, and Israel are competing in India. I have long considered writing a post about this in my own blog, since I have lived in Russia, and I have lived (three separate times) in India. The first time in India was during the Soviet era. However I felt that no one would be interested in such a post. Also, the situation in India is complex, which means a blog post would be lengthy. Maybe I'll write one anyway. One thing I will note here is that Zionist Israel is very active in India, but is not having the success they would like. Certainly not like the success they are having in China. During the Soviet era, the Russians were extremely active in India. When I first went there, I saw Russians all over the place. Now I'm happy to see the Russians are coming back again. For reasons too lengthy to note here, the Russians will have a lot of succes in India. Readers may not know this, but there are many cultural ties between India and Russia. Some of those ties stem from mere romanticism. Other aspects stem from the fact that central Asian hoards were problems for India and Russia alike. Khazars battled Russians, Hunas battled Indians, and so on.

Anyway, great web site !!!!!!!
