Zionists target Hugo Chavez

From Haaretz.
During Israel’s attack on Lebanon in 2006, Chavez compared the aggression – and the Palestinian genocide -- with the "methods of Hitler.” Chavez said Israelis are doing what Hitler did, killing innocent children and entire families.
Israel responded by reprimanding Venezuela’s ambassador to Israel. Chavez then pulled his ambassador out of Venezuela. Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni asked the ambassador to come back to Jerusalem, but the ambassador did not stay long. He went back to Venezuela soon after.
Israel is now considering downgrading its relations with Venezuela in light of the extremist anti-Israel line ( Haaretz' words) taken by Venezuela’s government under Chavez. Israel is concerned about the growing alliance between Chavez and his Iranian counterpart, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
Israel's ambassador to Venezuela, Shlomo Cohen, is due to leave his post in June 2008. The Israeli Foreign Ministry has no plans to name a replacement, preferring to send an acting ambassador instead. This will mean a downgrading of Jerusalem's relations with Caracas.
Relations between Israel and Venezuela have deteriorated since Chavez was elected. Chavez has “cozied up to Ahmadinejad,” (Haaretz’ words) whom Chavez sees as a ideological ally.
A few days ago, Ahmadinejad went to Caracas on an official visit - his third visit in two years. Two weeks ago the entire staff of Iran's embassy in Caracas was invited to be guests of honor on Chavez's own television program, during which Chavez greeted them during the live taping.
Chavez recently instituted several reforms inspired by the Iranian Republic's Islamic Revolution. Haaretz claims Chavez wants to establish “militias” modeled on the Revolutionary Guards as a counterweight to the regular army.

HEARTBREAK IN INDIANA
WUFYS is not the proper forum for this, but I mention it because I’m upset.
WUFYS readers, please allow me…
Saturday night 15 Dec 07 Hamilton County, north of Indianapolis Indiana
Batul Abbas and her three daughters were in a van driving home from Indianapolis. They had been comforting a family friend who just lost a brother.
At 9:30 pm the van slid off an icy road and entered a pond in the darkness.
Inside were Ms. Abbas and her three daughters: Azmeh, 8; Shaail, 14; and Shazreh, 18.
Ms. Abbas called 911 while the van was underwater. One of the daughters also called 911. The youngest daughter also sent a text message to the phone of their father, Hadi Abbas, saying she loved him. Hadi Abbas was away on a business trip.
Firefighters arrived and instantly jumped into the icy water, almost freezing to death themselves. They broke the van's windows, clearing the way for divers to take out the van's four occupants. The mother and her three daughters were so frozen that they were in critical condition. They were taken to the hospital, but they went home to paradise soon afterward.
Ms. Batul Abbas and her husband came to the United States from Pakistan in 1995, and lived in Houston. In 2001 they moved to the Indianapolis area.
A man who watched the rescue attempts, Carlos Castaneda, said the scene was "heart-wrenching."
"We started to see divers pull people out, but they weren't moving. They weren't responding or anything.”
Batul had been married for 25 years to her husband Hadi Abbas, who came home to find his family gone. Funeral services are planned for tomorrow (Wednesday 19 Dec 07) in Houston.

It goes back to what I have learned.
"Do not pity the dead, pity the living."
This profound advice from one of the main characters of the Harry Potter series.
It's a very hard concept to live by - extremely hard.
We all keep thinking that this world is our permanent home - it isn't. But the object of the game is to overcome the belief.
Quite a challenge.
In the meantime, it is necessary for us to "forget" where we really came from, our real Home, so that we can do the work we were meant to do here on this planet.

Of course WUFYS is a proper forum for this....

kidding.
How sad.
I live in Indiana and near Indianapolis.
This is the world we live in.
Nothing gold can stay.
"Natures first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
but only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down today.
NOTHING GOLD CAN STAY."
