Ive followed your blog for about almost year now and I agree in theory with what you are saying, but I want to play the devils advocate here.

Heres where I get lost. This war and all part of "these wars"... the wars of man that have been going on since the beginning of that whole region - the Middle East. And the old adages of, "the strongest will survive", "kill or be killed", the "big fish eats the small fish" still holds true to this day. Its nature. Dinosaurs ate smaller creatures and they reigned for millions of years.

Heres the history. The ideology 2000 years ago, and you can read it in the old testament, was whenever Jews went into a city they would massacre EVERYONE. Kill them all. Im not making this up. Thats just hat they did and the Bible has countless examples of Jews doing this. When Islam came about, their prophet(s) had the same ideology. Every time they entered a city, Muslims killed off everyone. They did this for hundreds of years. Historically, they swept through Europe. From places like Poland to Spain. Imagine people coming in, slaughtering your kids, raping your wife/girfriend, and of course killing you if you didnt convert. HUNDREDS of years Christians turned the other cheek only to have muslims take their land and possessions. This was born the Crusades. Christians had enough of that crap. Hundreds of years later, Christians swept through the Americas here with that same ideology... Kill or be killed. Convert and subjugate. Now, here we are in modern times and Muslims have the same ideology as they did 1300 years ago.

So to me, this is really about the lesser of two evils. Jews and Muslims. Which is worse? The fact is Jews are a small minority. Islam is the largest world religion and it is also the fastest growing. Why? Well, when you have the same ideology of kill or be killed, then of course your religion will prosper technically speaking, and probably not by choice. Weve all heard stories like muslims locking up a woman for converting to christianity. Weve heard how islam is sweeping England and there are "no drive" zones you dont want to enter, unless of course your are muslim. Weve read how in cities in Canada, muslims are pushing for their sharia laws to subjugate their women. They are fast creeping into our western culture and they are doing it without weapons. But once they have a firm grip on us, then, then it will be too late once they marshall in their sharia laws on US. You think the Patriot Act is bad? Wait till these laws come around. There are over 6000 mosques in America now. The number went from 150 mosques from just 15 years ago. And 70 percent of these mosques in America preach the hateful Wahhabism for of Islam. Scary? Oriana Falaci warned us about what was going on in Italy but we all want peace.

Look, Im moderate. I want everyone to get along, but I just dont see that being the case when the fastest growing religion, holding to its old ideologies, wants to basically kill everyone off. Can you give one single example of this? Moreover the Koran specifically forbids spreading Islam by the sword, while Judaism encourages violence against Gentiles. Take, for example, the Biblical book of Esther. When the Iranian (Persian) king Xerxes I made a Jew (Mordecai) his prime minister, and passed laws to protect Jews, the Jews of Persia responded to this kindness by massacring 75,000 Persians. Today Jews have their “Purim” ceremony to celebrate this bloodbath. Despite this, the Iranian government maintains a monument to Esther the Jew in the city of Hamedan, and has passed laws to protect Jews. How do Jews repay this kindness? Today, Muslim countries are “evil” and “against God” because they have most of the world’s oil. Note: There is excellent reason to believe that the Department of Defense is deliberately not reporting a significant number of the dead in Iraq. We have received copies of manifests from the MATS that show far more bodies shipped into Dover AFP than are reported officially. The actual death toll is in excess of 10,000. Given the officially acknowledged number of over 15,000 seriously wounded (and a published total of 25,000 wounded overall,), this elevated death toll is far more realistic than the current 2,000+ now being officially published. The government gets away with these huge lies because they claim, falsely, that only soldiers actually killed on the ground in Iraq are reported. The dying and critically wounded are listed as en route to military hospitals outside of the country and not reported on the daily postings. Anyone who dies just as the transport takes off from the Baghdad airport is not listed and neither are those who die in the US military hospitals. Their families are certainly notified that their son, husband, brother or lover was dead and the bodies, or what is left of them (refrigeration is very bad in Iraq what with constant power outages) are shipped home, to Dover AFB. This, we note, was the overall policy until very recently. Since it became well known that many had died at Landstuhl, in Germany, the DoD began to list a very few soldiers who had died at other non-theater locations. These numbers are only for show and are pathetically small in relationship to the actual figures. You ought to realize that President Bush personally ordered that no pictures be taken of the coffined and flag-draped dead under any circumstances. He claims that this is to comfort the bereaved relatives but is designed to keep the huge number of arriving bodies secret. Any civilian, or military personnel, taking pictures will be jailed at once and prosecuted. Bush has never attended any kind of a memorial service for his dead soldiers and never will. He is terrified lest some parent might curse him in front of the press or, worse, attack him. As Bush is a terrible physical coward and in a constant state of denial, this is not a surprise.

I think you are wrong about the Ottomons. They had a society which allowed the Jews many freedoms, but they were not allowed to gain power or lend money at interest, eventually they did gain power and subvert the Muslims of course.
