The REAL reason for the War on Islam?
My knowledge of Islam is basic, at best, so allow me some leeway for the following post that has the question at the end:
The banking practices of a large part of the world depends on making money by loaning money.
This is an extremely lucrative practice, so much so that in the past here in the U.S., laws were passed to prevent greed from overtaking the banking industry.
The banks had to be restrained by law from charging unheard of interest rates that amounted to usury.
Unfortunately, these laws were only a temporary impediment to the bankers, who would either ignore the laws or rig up different financial schemes to bypass the laws so they could continue on with their looting and plundering of the general populace.
It's this unbounded greed by the bankers and their usurious lending practices that time and again, have put this country into big trouble, like the deep financial doo-doo we're in today with the sub prime mortgage fiasco.
Yet, these white collar criminals will walk away from this mess with most of their loot intact, while people who were the victims lose their homes and start living on the streets.
The white collar criminals who perpetuated these unlawful acts will then be free to roam around and cook up more fraudulent schemes to bilk the people out of their money.
What's Big Banking's answer to help fix the system they've looted? By loaning out even more money and collecting even more absurd rates of interest.
So, here's my question: Since the Koran forbids the charging of interest on money loaned, while the Christian and Jewish banks not only encourage this practice, but thrive on the money made on loans, is the current war(s) in the ME a thinly veiled attempt to smash Islam since the Koran forbids the practice of making money by lending money?
Being that it's the holiday season and in keeping with the banking spirit that it is better to take than give, here's some holiday cheer.

And let's not forget the words of one of America's biggest blowhards and a favorite of the talking head shows, Bill Bennett. Bennett has fashioned himself as the arbiter of morals, dispatching advice on how other people should live a decent, sin free life.
Until he was caught living it up in casinos, gambling away small fortunes and engaging in gluttony.
Which only slowed down Bennett's lucrative career of telling other people how they should live.
Bill Bennett, a prominent right-wing blowhard, has recently come under intense fire for remarks made on his radio show, in which he stated, "I do know that it's true that if you wanted to reduce crime, you could ... abort every black baby in this country.

Your question is legitimate. I think the war on Islam cannot be reduced only to the protection of the Jewish-controlled financial system. The financial system is only one factor.
Not only that, but back on 15 November I wrote a lengthy comment saying (among other things):
“The notion of Islamic banking as ‘interest-free’ is simplistic, and in many ways erroneous. There are several means to gain interest that are not anti-Islamic. Riba refers to the Jewish form of outright fraud and compound interest.”
The real difference between western systems and Islamic systems is not interest, but techniques that encourage a sense of community, versus a Western-Jewish system that encourages personal greed at everyone else’ expense. With community comes material prosperity and spiritual wisdom. Yet even this is not entirely accurate. The war against Islam is not a war of civilizations or systems. It is a war of people. It is the western elite’s war against potential human competitors.
I based my comments on a number of books I scanned about Islamic finance. I did not digest these books, since they were over my head, but I got enough out of them to make a comment.
The main reasons for war against Islam, as I see it, come down to three things…
1) Politicians are utterly corrupt, utterly bought, and utterly bereft of any new ideas. All they have left is fear based on a phantom “enemies.” Without “enemies,” they would be thrown out of office. The “war on terror,” based on phantom “enemies,” stifles all criticism and silences all debate. It excuses any crime, and legitimizes any tyranny. It is the elite’s ultimate camouflage.
2) Competition for control of oil and other natural resources. All the places that supposedly harbor “terrorists” are places that have oil, or that figure into the oil game.
3) Zionism. The war is not between the west and Islam, but between Zionism and Islam. Jews totally own and control the West. The USA mainly goes where Jews tell it to go. Granted the banking system (and media control) are the sources of Zionist power, but Jewish supremacism goes beyond merely controlling money and the economy. It seeks to control everything you think, do, and say. The western financial system is only one part of the evil that is Zionism. By contrast, Islam, at least in its values and ideals, is the antithesis of Zionism.
So I think the war against Islam is to preserve the Jewish banking system, but there's more to the war than that alone.

International Jewry has already emasculated many if not most nominal 'Christian' white males in Western nations through 'no-fault' [read 'his-fault'] divorce [started in Bolshevik Russia] and non-custody of his children, political correctness / cultural diversity and Jewish constructed feminism. Thus, the Western family has been destroyed. The white male - Zionism's greatest enemy - can not teach his children and is w/o means to fight back
One other major obstacle to Zionism is Islam and their strong patriarchal family and non-Jewish financial system, hence the military attack on Iraq and next Iran by the Zionist controlled 'coalition' of white nations. Destroy those two factions by nominal Christian nations fighting Islamic nations for Zionism and only Asian non-Islam families are left.
Asia will be the last enemy to be destroyed. But the Jewish media / banking system hasn't had enough of a chance to undermine that culture yet, but is making inroads in both spheres. The Chinese are already asking Jewish bankers to advise them on their financial system. Funny the Chinese should be seeking advice from the same ilk that has brought us to the brink of world-wide financial collapse, isn't it?

You pose an interesting point I haven't given much thought to.
The matter of interest alone is not the main point, as that aspect is only a small detail in a larger role.
The larger role, as mentioned already, is an ideal Islamic society. A society in which justice prevails for Muslims and non-Muslims alike. A society where a free-market can exist, but without the corruption of capitalism; a society with the justice communism claimed to want to accomplish, but without the corruption of communism.
Islam's society is a great thing for humanity, and therefore a tragic possibility for the Zionists and the workers of the New World Order. Justice is their worst enemy...
