Egypt won’t let Palestinian Hajj pilgrims return to Gaza

The Israelis were furious that Egypt allowed 2,100 Palestinian pilgrims to depart Gaza through the Rafah crossing on the way to Mecca. Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak visited Egypt to scold the government.

Now Egypt has bowed to Zionist threats, and will not let the pilgrims return through the Rafah crossing. Egypt says the pilgrims must return via the Israeli-controlled Kerem Shalom (Karm Abu Salem) crossing. (Map below.)

Gaza pilgrims fear arrest and torture. They want to enter Gaza through Rafah where they came from.

1,900 pilgrims returned from Arabia via the Jordanian city of Aqaba, and then took ferry boats to the Egyptian port of Nuwaibe. Egypt will not let the ships land. The pilgrims are stranded on two ferries in the Red Sea.

Three hundred more pilgrims are stranded in the desert near Arish, the capital of North Sinai. Several have died, including a 62-year-old woman Shafika Al-Buhaisi.

About 5,000 demonstrators gathered on the Gaza side of the border with Egypt yesterday to demand that the pilgrims be allowed to enter through the Rafa crossing.

Egyptian riot police mounted a machine gun on a building overlooking the corridor separating Egypt from Gaza.

Israelis say the returning pilgrims are terrorists. The Palestinians have offered to let the Israelis search them. The Israelis say they will only search the pilgrims at the Karm Abu Salem crossing.

Palestinian sources say pressure against the pilgrims comes not only from the Israelis, but also from Abbas and Fatah.

i love it - keep up the excellent work.

nothing irks zionists more than the truth and the constant reminder that their power and their grip over the middle east is only temporary.

I don't know why it's still possible to surprise me when it comes to this kind of shit. I suppose it's just a bit hard to maintain a perpetual sense of just how fucked these Israelis actually are.

Someone should just relocate the Palestinians in Egypt and Jordan, nuke all of Palestine, Israelis intact, and build an Apartheid wall around the whole country so that the rest of the world can forget about that whole mess forever. Islam doesn't need the holy sites therein - the whole Earth is sacred.

to see the map over time; is to see it in this way.

fuck that CoZ, let's relocate them to the moon by attaching them to icbm's!! i knew humanity would find a use for them!!

I said we should relocate the Palestinians in Egypt and Jordan, not the Israelis. The Israelis can have Khazaristan with the blessing of us all, but as soon as the Palestinians leave Gaza and the West Bank, Israhell will be nuked. Then after a minute of silence, a permanent apartheid wall will be erected around the perimeter to keep stragglers out of that Godforsaken zio-tomb forever.

I wouldn't risk sending them to the moon - only yesterday I read that it might have an atmosphere ;P

Egypt Opens Rafah Crossing For Returning Palestinians

Take that, you arseholes.

Officials told The Jerusalem Post that at least two dozen senior Hamas members were part of the group of pilgrims that crossed the border and were believed to be carrying tens of millions of dollars that they had collected in Saudi Arabia. In addition, some of the Hamas members were believed to have undergone advanced military training in Iran.

Wow, those "officials" are really on the ball, with all that info.

Look at the attitude of the 'related' links on that page:

Analysis: The unholy return of the Palestinian pilgrims

Israel: 'Egypt working against us for years'

The return of any and all Palestinians is "unholy" in the eyes of zionism.

For noticing and commenting on the story about the pilgrims.

Here's some humor for you...
