Empty Words When I Hear --> Happy New Year!
Empty words, or a heartfelt wish? In fact, how can anyone have a Happy New Year so long as we, collectively, do not redress the imbalance which has crept ominously into an international community, ruled by the USA and its nerve center, Tel Aviv, which systematically disregards international law, flouts every norm of diplomacy and which spreads not peace and love, but conflict, discord and malevolence?
The coming of the new millennium brought with it great hope and high expectations that Mankind would be able to come together, living as brothers around our common lake – the Oceans, using the tools of diplomacy – debate, discussion and dialogs, in the proper forum – the UN Security Council – to address our differences in a spirit of openness and friendship.
However, as we approach already the second leap year of the millennium, it appears we are slipping further and further into an abyss. What we have is a world set upon the foundations of bullying, blackmail and belligerence. It is not true that there are many culprits and everyone has to shoulder some of the blame.
If the excuse to launch a vicious and savage, illegal and murderous attack on Iraq was based upon some warped notion of fighting international terrorism, how befitting this is of Washington’s tissue of lies, spun to dupe the US citizen into funding the war efforts which enrich the corporate elitists and their masters in Tel Aviv who have hijacked the United States’ government, its institutions and have sullied the noble precepts upon which that nation was born. In fact, they have profoundly insulted every fiber of what the Founding Fathers built.
Those who funded and trained the Mujaheddin in Afghanistan are the ones who laid the cornerstone of international terrorism back in the 1980s. They are the same ones who invented lies to justify the attack on Iraq, where the same corporate elitists lined their pockets with billionaire contracts doled out without tenders. They are the same ones who tried to fabricate a story to justify an attack against Iran and they are the same ones who stand behind the drug-trafficking, prostitution-racketeering terrorist Kosovar Albanians, and their hair brained independence ideas against international law.
What sort of a savage has Mankind become? Would any of the major religions condone the situation whereby two hundred thousand million dollars are spent waging war in Iraq while the malnutrition rate among children in Darfur reaches record heights?
The average man in the street may decide to shrug his shoulders, because he thinks he cannot make a difference. But he can. Due to the fact that the majority of Country's are based upon the model of democratic governance, it is not difficult to hold political leaders responsible for following an ethical policy and accountable if they do not. It is every man’s right to demand that these leaders explain their positions very clearly before they are elected.
This being the case and if Mankind can collectively rise to the occasion, maybe we can say a meaningful and heartfelt Happy New Year to everyone, regardless of their race, color or creed and hope once again that this time we will enjoy a year of international peace and friendship, building a brotherhood of nations and people living side by side in a secure world, without hatred or killing.
They say hope is the last to die.
I would have difficult time to explain this in biological terminology, so I'll say it in voodoological teriminology! I personally believe in it tho.
Let's assume 'health' and 'illness' in humans are like two bars just like audio display bars, that go up and down, and total dash lines or bricks is 21. At birth we have one or two bricks on illness bar and the rest on health bar.
As we grow up and interface the real world we add more bricks to the illness bar from health bar. And when we think we are healthy, we might just have 11 bricks on health bar and 10 on illness bar, or vice versa. So we can't be too cocky or too scared.
This analogy might work for society too. As you seem to point out, we have 12-13 bricks on illness bar today in the world and feel terrible. But the reality is that the social illness bar cannot win if and if we clutch to our health bricks and don't lose them.
To keep health bricks, we should say 'Happy New Year', 'Merry Christmas' (not happy holidays), B.C. (not B.C.E.), visit relatives and friends more often, ...
To take illness bricks and add to health bar, we should quit paying for msm, quit or minimize credit cards, refuse doing business with those who need a credit report on you, once every two weeks ask the supermarket manager to help you find a nonkosher tofu you are looking for, call your phone company and ask them which item on your phone bill actually is a war tax and you want them to take it off, ...
Most empires in the last 2-3k years claimed to have or will take over the world. They occupy only a few pages of the world history books today. This is no different.
We can't be too scared. We might be only one or two bricks short of a healthy world no matter how sick it might look.

I just think saying "Merry Christmas" is the most honest thing to say, with the greatest heartfelt wishes that are attached to it. I grew up on "Merry Christmas", just like I grew up on Eid Mubarek.[Only I don't speak Arabic, so I sound ridiculous when I say it.]

All the right things are bricks piled in the health bar. All the wrong things are bricks in the ill bar. But the total stays constant. When some one(s) does a wrong thing, it means he and others have allowed to lose a right thing.
I think humans by nature are aware if they are doing some thing wrong. But they do it because of a justification they have come up with or duped to accept.
Right things are traditions and spiritual values cultured and nurtured for centuries and millenniums and normally don't hurt anyone. Wrong things always end up violating other's rights.

Practically every one has got cold virus. That's a brick in the ill bar. But it can be suppressed if you add a brick or two to your health bar by having a strong(er) immune system. How? Be positive and relatively happy. That's how nonvoluntary glands will secrete enzymes necessary for a healthy body. (Just like salivary gland gushing out at the sight of good food.)
Society's immune system is happily practicing its traditions.

This is the whole point. The VIRUS does not decide to stay dormant/latent or active. It's the level of your immune system that either FORCES the virus to hide out and keep a low profile, or encourages it to come out, walk around and even ponder knocking you over the floor.

Of course it is, as you cannot pretend there is no cut on your arm, while its obviously bleeding down. But we take time out to fix the cut, because we know what can happen if we don't.
But most people don't know or care what can happen if we don't fix emotional wounds. With so much anger, fear, sorrow, frustration, anxiety, ... we can kill or cripple ourselves naturally. No stinking zionist needs to worry about how to get rid of us undesirables! That's probably why socially conscientious people don't live long.
I guess I just wanted to say creating/keeping the good things is same as fighting and eliminating the bad things, besides we don't get crippled in the process.
