Russian Billionaire, hiding in Israel, tells U.S. Senate "Putin Must Go"
Spotlight: Russian Godfathers - The Fugitive
Russian billionaire Nevzlin tells U.S. Senate, "Putin must go." That is from the documentary on LINK TV, called Russian Godfathers Part 1: The Fugitive.
"In the aftermath of the collapse of the Soviet Union, state-owned assets and resources of the former world superpower were seized by a tiny group of smart, ruthless, and well-connected businessmen. The group, collectively dubbed the Russian oligarchs, rapidly joined the ranks of the world’s richest people -- and now battle Russian president Vladimir Putin for economic and political control of the country."
Part 1: The Fugitive
Meet the charismatic and determined billionaire Boris Berezovsky, who is waging his own Russian Revolution against President Putin -- from Surrey, England. He lives in exile, having fled Russia in 2000 upon facing fraud charges. Motivated by revenge and a lust for wealth, Berezovsky wages a very personal, off-shore political war against Putin.
These days, Berezovsky is getting chummy and doing business with President Bush' brother, Neil.
Neil was part of the Silverado S & L scheme that defrauded taxpayers of one billion dollars.
Who says crime doesn't pay?
Strangely enough, when these Israeli's, like Mikhail Khodorkovsky and Leonid Nevzlin were profiting big time during the falling apart of the former U.S.S.R. little was said in the MSM about these gangsters.
Now, that they are being brought to justice by Russia and some--who didn't get out of the country in time with their loot--are getting tossed in jail for their criminal activities, we hear all sorts of whining and moaning from the MSM about how Putin and Russia are turning their backs on democracy.
Leonid Nevzlin, sole owner of the Russian oil company Yukos in 2005, is now wanted by the Russian Prosecutor's Office on charges ranging from tax evasion and theft of assets to murder. Not only is Nevzlin wanted by the Russian authorities, but also by Interpol.
Guess where Nevzlin moved to?
ISRAEL, the country where he's hiding , is now the recipient of his financial largesse, thru donations to institutions such as the Beth Hatefutsoth Museum of the Jewish Diaspora, Tel Aviv University and the United Israel Appeal.
Joining Nevzlin are two other financial sharpies, Vladimir Dubov and Mikhail Brodno.
Joining in this feeding frenzy is none other than Lord Jacob
Another Russian gangster that fled his country just ahead of an arrest warrant is billionaire Roman Abramovich , owner of the Chelsea Football Club and part of the criminal syndicate that looted trillions of dollars from Russia.
And this, concerning the poisoning of former Russian spy, Litvinenko .
"According to Israel Inside, Leonid Nevzlin, former CEO of the oil giant Yukos and current chairman of the Diaspora Museum in Tel Aviv, said the former Russian spy had come to Israel in the weeks before his murder with classified documents on Yukos that might be damaging to Russian leaders. Nevzlin estimated that Litvinenko’s death had been connected with this information, which he had handed to London police investigators of the murder."
Perhaps it isn’t significant, but most Russian nuclear reactors are subject to IAEA Safeguards. None of Israel’s are.

these guys never give up.
they don't take defeat well.
but it seems like their control over Russia is done. I'd be surprised if they make a comeback.

"Money" has no value - people do.
The comment made by Berezovsky that "Putin must go" was part of the LINK TV documentary.
i searched far and wide on the 'Net, trying to find an article with that quote, but couldn't.
i did find a wealth of articles about Russian gangsters who took it on the lam and moved to Israel.
So much stuff out there on the fleeing Russian gangsters that one could write a book.
QRS,
They don't give up and won't give up. After all, Russia is a huge and vital part of what Zbigniew Brzezinski describes as "a dominant and antagonistic Eurasian power" and "the chessboard on which the struggle for global primacy continues to be played".
Vladimir Putin knows this, he knows precisely how pernicious the power-crazed little tribe (of which Brzezinski is a leading member) can be and is doing everything he can to shore up his country against foreign (read ZioNazi) influence. Russia has been there before and will avoid at all costs going there again.
Sullivan, you'll love this one!
Kudos to Peter Chamberlin for finding this gem!
