When Capital Punishment Is Just
When a grown man, who knew it was wrong, repeatedly rapes and abuses a 3-year-old boy over a long period of time.
"There is no doubt about the crime. There is no reform likely for the criminal. There is no place in society for him, yet the $100,000+ each year it costs to feed, house, and care for him could instead go towards medical care for children, public services for the mentally ill, better police training, more fire crews on staff, better roads...the list is endless.
Why waste (and I use that term in the most literal way possible) perfectly good public funds on keeping this child-rapist and murderer warm, safe, healthy, and well-fed when so many more deserving are left cold, sick, and hungry? There is simply no valid, rational reason to."

A Carthage toddler's mother and her boyfriend are criminally responsible for the boy's death: the man for fatally beating the 3-year-old, his mother for letting the man near her son to begin with, prosecutors said Wednesday. CINCINNATI -- The former guardian for Trustin Blue testified Thursday that the boy shook with fear when he saw the man now accused of his murder.
The 3-year-old spent nearly a year in the care of relatives when his mother lost custody of Trustin after authorities accused her boyfriend, Lamont Hunter, of abuse.
"He'd gotten to the point where he would throw up, crying, his body would just start shaking -- he was just scared," Amber White told three judges during Hunter's bench trial.
Five months after the boy's mother regained custody of her son, Trustin was hospitalized with fatal injuries.
Hunter told police the boy had fallen down some stairs, but a doctor testified that the injuries were severe and consistent with abuse.
"He had been raped and (shaken), and he had been (shaken) so hard that his brain had swollen," another former guardian, Wilma Forte, testified Thursday.
Hunter's attorney has said that someone else could have caused those injuries, but Forte said she didn't believe that.
"Trustin was able to communicate with us and tell us he was scared of Lamont," she said. "His words were, 'Scared, Lamont, Lamont scare, Lamont hurt Trustin.'"
Forte said she never trusted Hunter and called often to check up on Trustin when he was returned to his mother's custody.
She told the court about one of those calls, when she asked Trustin what he was doing.
"'Watching dinosaurs,' is what he said, so then I said, 'Nana loves you,' (and) he said, 'Love you, Nana,' and then Lamont took the phone," Forte testified, wiping away tears as she told the court that was the last time she spoke to Trustin.
Prosecutors expect to call an official from the coroner's office before resting their case, and Hunter's attorney has said he does not expect to call any witnesses.

Everyday in America there are thousands of little boys like Trustin Blue. Here’s the question America should be asking herself:
Trustin Blue’s mother is every bit as evil and sick as her boyfriend, Lamont Hunter; actually, she is worse. She deserves the death penalty – if not, she needs to get her ovaries YANKED.

You are right Qrswave (and so is the Quran), we iu_mans have un_limited potential for good and evil. The choice is ours.
But the minute we become ARROGANT and display iNiQUiTY, we become less_than.
As for the mother's nurturing role in our society, it needs to be cherished, not looked down_upon as less_than. The population is high, so there's really no problem with women doing whatever good they please!
Speaking of population, it won't be long before the population of man on earth is 6,666,666,666.

It just sickens me.
When I read this stuff in the news...I feel there is no hope for the world at all.
You figure, in the USA alone, thousands of young boys suffer at the hands of "boyfriends", family members, other trusted members of society, and strangers.....
I am not even including Canada, Great Britain, and Australia.
I am not even including the young girl victims.
Everyday we unleash a terrible fate WORSE than the death penalty on these young ones, because we must take care of the sociopath.
We must make sure that he/she gets "treatment", enroll them in, or offer FREE "rehabilitation" services.
I say they should be buried alive.
That's my choice of justice.
There comes a time when a "human" crosses the line, and there's no point of return. There comes a time to realize that after a record of such violence as rape/sodomy/torture...these monsters CANNOT be rehabilitated.
Grim....that is a great song by 4 Non Blondes, I used to listen to it a lot in the early 90s.
The song isn't about child abuse. But the emotions are so strong, the singer's voice is so angry and desperate, that it fits perfectly with this article, anyway.

I put that story up NOT BECAUSE THE LAMONT HUNTER WAS BLACK.......I put it up because the creep tormented a baby for 3 years and the baby's mother let the creep do it.
The SAME thing happened in Toronto several years ago. An Uncle sodomized and strangled his two year old nephew to death. The boy was white, blue-eyed and blonde. The uncle was white, also. It WAS front page news. The body was found in a dumpster.
I am not interested in colors of skin for the moment. I am interested in putting garbage in the trash can where it belongs.
