Half a million hungry Palestinians break out from their Gaza prison to eat (video)
Gaza is often described as the world's largest prison.
If so, then the world is witnessing one of the biggest ever breakouts.
Palestinians have poured into the Egyptian side of the Rafah crossing through holes blown along the border wall between the Gaza Strip and Egypt.
Al Jazeera's Jacky Rowland reports from Gaza, where, due to the border breach, she is joined by Amr el-Kahky, Al Jazeera's Cairo correspondent.

seeing Gazans freely walk across the "border" without having to endure the agony and humiliation of checkpoints is truly a sight for sore eyes.
The correspondent did throw in a couple of references to Hamas "taking advantage of the breach" and bringing "God knows what" over the border (back into israel), but otherwise, her reporting was fairly objective.
There was, however, one more instant where the anchorwoman asked her a clear question about Hamas's involvement in the blast and she totally dismissed it. instead she directed our attention to her conclusion that the breach could not have happened without "Egypt's tacit approval."
israel definitely has something up its sleeve with respect to Egypt - but, then again it is "the prize" - no surprise there.
