Israeli neocons have consistently proven to be even worse liars than their American counterparts. One case in point, Caroline Glick, is never satisfied with the usual semi-factual reporting (or even blatent disregard for the truth like most neocons). In her case, it is more important to stretch credibility until it bears no resemblance to reality, manufacturing a vision of horror and malice, always leading back to holocaust nightmares.
In today's Jerusalem Post, she claims that the Egyptian border breakdown was a staged Hamas publicity stunt, timed to coincide with an "anti-peace conference" in Damascus. Further along in her article she laments about Israel's dire predicament,

"Israel is threatened by Iranian proxies on three borders," where the poor helpless, faultless, nuclear-armed Zionist state stands alone against "Iran's Manhattan Project."
