I think the reason for this puppy outrage in the US is that this particular footage has managed to penetrate the American media desensitivity cloak. People in America live with puppies, they love puppies and relate to puppies, but Iraqi children and Iraqis in general are no more real to them than the characters from Dawson Creek or the talking Knightrider car.

This is one of the functions of media that isn't as apparent as its other more overtly deceptive ones, and it's why members of congress should be forced into mandatory trips to Gaza instead of free AIEF-funded propaganda trips to Disneyesque parts of shitty little Israel.

Is it any wonder that there is a noted trend amongst those convicted of violent homicidal act's: maiming, mutilating, killing, even raping domestic animal's during adolescence. Connect this to military psychiatry. The only way you can arrive in a sovereign land and begin killing, maiming and raping it's innocent populace is to be delivered with predisposed and/or preconditioned homicidal insanity.
