In the wake of the recent disclosure by the author of a Holocaust memoir that her best-selling book is a fake, historians are worried that such incidents will cast doubt on legitimate Holocaust scholarship and memoirs.
Holocaust deniers already are having a field day with the story, observers say.
A prominent article about the hoax is featured on the Web site of Holocaust denier David Duke, who asserts that the case casts doubt on all "outlandish Holocaust tales."
Deborah Dwork, a Holocaust scholar who says she warned the publisher of the book, "Misha: A Memoir of the Holocaust Years," a decade ago that the book's veracity was suspect, is most concerned about how young minds will be affected by such fakery.
The effect on young people, "who are not grounded in history and who may only vaguely remember talk that a memoir was not true," she said, "opens the door to greater readiness to acceptance of Holocaust denier arguments.

The "Misha" 'memoir' is the book about "living with wolves". See the Jewish Times source, which also mentions Binjamin Wilkomirski's Fragments, another fake.
The author's lawyers, if they are to be believed, said her real name is Monique De Wael. However, the Wiki entry currently tells us that De Wael is her maiden name, and she is married to a man named Maurice Levy. They were together at least as early as 1988, Levy was unemployed by the mid-1990s, and the fictitious 'memoir' was first published 1997. According to the Jewish Times article, De Wael and her ghostwriter Vera Lee were awarded more than $30 million damages against the publisher in 2001, who was accused of "insufficiently promoting the book in the U.S. market".
The author only admitted fabricating the tale after being presented with irrefutable evidence that it was fiction. She also successfully sued the publisher for $22.5 million in 2005, supposedly for "withholding royalties". And she blames the publisher for convincing her to release the book!
In the JTA Breaking News report of March 2, 2008, Defonseca / De Wael is still saying that her parents were killed by the Nazis. But the Jewish Times article of March 18 states that relatives of her father Robert De Wael said that he worked with the Nazis, and died of natural causes after the war.
These fraudsters never admit that when they are trying to pass off their 'reality' as reality!

You heard wrong. Djugashvili is a Georgian surname. For a start, the word for jew in Georgian is garyagis, not djuga. Shvili is a common ending for Georgian surnames, and is (apparently) found particularly amongst those considered 'lower class', that literally means 'son of'. That much is correct.
It is as Georgian as they come. Even more so than his evil sidekick Beria, who was also Georgian.

A cooler head could have reversed the situation of the Germans by a full-scale defensive-offensive guerilla war strategy, not wholly unlike that of Mao. Make do with less and grind the enemy to pieces via protracted war. I guarantee you the soft, pussified American sissies and British sissies would have run out like they did at Dunkirk and in Vietnam. They aren't hard enough for real war.
