His name was Riad Hamad and he was my friend. A friend with courage and conviction who was not afraid to do the right thing. 
He was found floating in a lake Thursday- suicided after being bound with duct tape in a manner that the complicit Austin Police Department ruled as "consistent with suicide".

Witnesses at the scene Wednesday afternoon say the body, now identified as Riad Hamad, 55, an Austin Independent School District teacher, washed up at Festival Beach Park sometime before 2:00 p.m., when one young woman says she called 9-1-1. She told News Radio 590 KLBJ the man's body had been "wrapped with duct tape".
Austin Police Sergeant Joseph Chacon confirms the man was bound with duct tape.
"The bindings, although I cannot go into them extensively, it's possible that he could have done them to himself," Chacon says.
"We have not ruled out that foul play might be involved. However, we have no indication right now that that is the case."

i've donated money in the past to PCWF and in fact, had mailed another check to PCWF last week.
Guess the FBI or the MOSSAD might show up and give me "swimming" lessons.
How does someone drown themselves after they've already bound their legs, hands and put tape over their eyes?
How does that work?
Do you first bind your arms, then put tape over your eyes?
Hmm?
Or do you put tape over your eyes, then bind your arms?
Anyone know the answer?
The local cops sure as hell don't.
This is in our collective future, perhaps nearer than we may wish to imagine. Helping others at a cost to ourselves will be treated as deviancy.

FBI, CIA and Mossad have the history of suiciding the persons they don't like over reasons -- cover-up by shutting out the "truth-tellers" that would provide the explosive exposes if they keep on pressing.
For example, Oklahoma City Bombing police officer Kenneth John Griffin -- one of the first responders after the bombs went off -- "killed" himself after being "distraught" about what he saw in the aftermath while searching for survivors.
Austin PD is f*cking corrupt dancing to the tune of the FBI when they declared this 55-year old teacher's death merely a suicide, contrary to the logic. It's impossible, unless world renowned illusionists David Blair and David Copperfield can pull it off in self-binding & duct-taping the face and pretend to commit suicide by jumping into the deep pool yet escape unharmed Houdini-style.
U.S. government, as always, have no respect for human rights, having proved itself through the actions of FBI (guilty of mass murder in Waco 1993 incident) and CIA (long list of crimes against humanity as a Mafia-like business thug organization since its founding). There are times like this when I'm ashamed to be an American citizen who speak out against injustice yet U.S. govt carry out the policies proven injurious to the sovereignty and accountability of the state that continue to hypocritically promote human rights as though irony itself have no meaning to drill into their goddamn numbskulls.

OAK HILL - Little more than a week after the body of a popular local teacher and peace activist was pulled from Lady Bird Lake, questions remain:
Why is there a discrepancy about whether or not the body was sutured properly after the autopsy?
Was it a murder made to look like a suicide?
Or was it a suicide made to look like a murder?
