wasn't the brightest gal in Washington, evidently. It's been reported that she was an intelligent, educated woman but if she was really savvy, she would've entrusted copies of her client list to several anonymous confidantes and arranged for them to be released to multiple media outlets simultaneously - just to cover all bases - in the event that harm should come to her. At least one copy would've made it to the public, but more importantly, it would've prevented her death in the first place.
